In this article, in the email version sent to your mailbox, the scriptural references were not available, due to a software problem with one of the Bible programs, which made the context confusing. The online version was unaffected.
If you click on the Bible reference in the online version, you’ll be taken to that passage, in the English Standard Version, which is a fine translation, although our preference is the New King James Version.
In the past, hovering your cursor over the scriptural reference revealed the scripture in a “pop up” above the chapter and verse. However, the developer of that program has not issued an updated version of his software, and currently it does not work with the latest releases of Word Press.
