Bible Prophecy in the 21st Century

June 2, 2022. What explains the turbulent times the world has been through during the age of Covid? If you’re looking for answers to the Covid Pandemic, the Russian invasion of Ukraine, raging inflation worldwide, Covid vaccine injury and deaths (growing massively and rarely reported), a tsunami of illegal immigration into the United States, the astronomical rising price of oil and gas (the lifeblood of all industrialized economies), imminent food shortages in the Western world and Third world nations, school and public shootings, etc., look no further than 2 Timothy 3:13.

 “¹³ But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.”

In the same context, Paul warned Timothy of the “last days,” being “perilous times.”  Other translations show an age that is dangerous, difficult and trying.

Why are the last days perilous or dangerous?  Because of evil men.  Evil men that have fallen under the influence of the “god of this age.” (2 Corinthians 4:4)

Paul explained to the Ephesian church that the devil — portrayed as the “prince of the power of the air,” is especially effective in influencing the “unbelievers,” “disobedient,” or people who refuse to obey God, as shown in Ephesians 2:2.

In reviewing the events of the past few years, shouldn’t Bible students be viewing world events through this prophetic prism?

How did we enter the “age of Covid?” Evil men purposely devised a new, novel Coronavirus strain in a laboratory, which was then unleashed upon the entire world. At first, we were led to belief Covid 19 originated in the “wet markets” of Wuhan, China, but that theory was debunked long ago. We know that bio-weapon research on these viruses began in laboratories in the United States and was later transferred to partner labs in China.

As an engineered virus, Covid was bad, even lethal, especially in older patients, but in January of this year, the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) admitted that 75% of the deaths were with patients with at least four comorbidities. The exaggerated death rate early in the Pandemic caused fear and paranoia and made it easier for governments to shut down businesses and force lockdowns upon the world populace.

If the virus wasn’t bad enough, many medical experts feel the problem has been exacerbated by vaccines that were rushed to market without Phase 1 trials, testing on animals.

The CEO of Pfizer, Albert Bourla chastised anyone who questioned the efficacy of Pfizer’s Covid vaccine, (the Absolute Risk Reduction, or ARR was .84 — less than 1% effective!) yet his company fought to have the results of the clinical trials — conducted on 44,000 people, half of them on 2 shots of the vaccine and half on placebo — sealed for 75 years! But a Judge ordered all documentation be made public. What was Pfizer hiding? Tens of thousands of adverse events in the treatment group, and over 1,200 deaths!  

And since the introduction of Covid 19 vaccines, note the alarming statistics quoted by a highly respected Insurance official: “We are seeing, right now, the highest death rates we have seen in the history of this business – not just at OneAmerica,” said Scott Davison, head of the $100 billion insurance company that’s been in operation since 1877 and has approximately 2,400 employees. 

The increase represents “huge, huge numbers,” among “primarily working-aged people” who have employer-sponsored group life plans through OneAmerica, according to The Center Square.

“And what we saw just in third quarter, we’re seeing it continue into fourth quarter, is that death rates are up 40% over what they were pre-pandemic,” Davison said during an online news conference last week. “Just to give you an idea of how bad that is, a three-sigma or a one-in-200-year catastrophe would be 10% increase over pre-pandemic.” “So 40% is just unheard of,” he added.

The increasing rate of death only occurred after the introduction of the new vaccines.  Not only that, as the vaccines have been approved for younger and younger patients, death rates in the 5 to12 year old age group have skyrocketed as well, with heart attacks and myocarditis occurring at an alarming rate.  No wonder vaccine companies lobbied to avoid litigation over the rushed to market products.

Without getting into the details of all the crisis that have followed the Covid Pandemic, i.e., the Russian Invasion, inflation, energy prices, impending food shortages, suffice it to say that these aren’t accidental events in the flow of human history — they are deliberate attempts to change the course of mankind by evil men!

If this doesn’t follow the pre-conceived idea you may have had about Bible prophecy, it may be time to re-consider.

It is hard for normal people to imagine that the evil results we see in current events are actually deliberately planned and executed by the leaders of the world, elected and self-appointed.  If you closely examine the goals of the United Nations, World Economic Forum and the World Health Organization, to name a few, you’ll find their agendas and goals for mankind. They are all organized to implement their combined objective of Agenda 2030, featuring a “Great Reset” of government and power within the world. They want to “build back better,” a euphemism for tearing apart free market capitalism and toppling the dominance of the United States as a world power. 

The leaders of this evil cabal have been deliberately deconstructing the greatest bastion of freedom in the world — the United States of America.  Truly, we have either entered, or are about to embark on the period the Bible describes as the “time of Jacob’s trouble.” (Jeremiah 30:7)

One of the ways dramatic change from freedom to control has been begun in all English speaking nations, has been the installation of radical, leftist leaning Presidents and Prime Ministers in each of them. They are all either graduates of the leadership programs of the World Economic Forum, or aligned with the it’s goals, like American President Joe Biden, whose campaign slogan was borrowed from the globalist organization.

As the world moves from crisis to crisis, led by evil men who lie, deceive and seduce the world with their schemes that will fulfill the “beginning of sorrows” of prophecy including war, famine and disease, in the Olivet Prophecy (Matthew 24:4-8), what can you do individually to defend against this massive deception?

First, understand that we are indeed living in the “last days.” Second, research your Bible and understand the basics of Bible Prophecy.  For hope, realize that Jesus came to proclaim the gospel, or good news of a different Kingdom — the Kingdom of God, which will replace man’s unjust rule.

God promises special protection for those who mourn over the injustice and evil of the “last days,” (Ezekiel 9:4) If you are reading this newsletter, you are already doing this!

Evil plans have been executed by private, wealthy influencers such as Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum, and the main architect and proponent of Global government. Leaders of NGO’s (Non Government Organizations), like Schwab, have even more devious plans which they have published.  Virtually all of them are Eugenicists and have all publicly declared their intent to reduce the world’s population by 90%!

We should take them at their word.

But beyond these evil plans lie their potential successors to world power. If these genius mad men are able to effectively lead the world to a massive depression in order to build it back in their vain dreams, where citizens will own nothing and eat bugs — will they inadvertently usher in the rise of the Beast power of Revelation 13?

Only time will tell. As much of the world was led to a universal response to the Covid pandemic, on the prophetic horizon is the potential that the deception will be even greater.  The rise of the “Beast,” or the future leader of a reunited Europe power bloc will be accompanied by a powerful religious figure who will deceive on an even greater scale.  God will allow most of mankind to accept a “strong delusion,” because they readily accept delusion and falsehood, and reject the truth. (2 Thessalonians 2:8-12)

Our best defense against this future horror is to act on the Word of God, and ask for the blessing Paul conferred on the Thessalonians: “Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, ¹⁷ comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.” (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17)

London, March 23, 2022: Almost 2,000 years ago, the last original Apostle, John, experienced a dramatic vision – and the Book of Revelation is the product of Jesus Christ’s inspiration, sent by angelic messenger. (Revelation 1:1: The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John,)

In Revelation, Chapter 13, John, apparently on the northern shore of the island of Patmos, witnessed a vivid and horrific sight.

Revelation 13:1: Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name

John saw what many Bible students understand as the final emergence of an ancient empire – Rome!  One identifying characteristic of this “beast,” is the “deadly wound” which was inflicted – and healed!

The Bible interprets the symbolism of “beast” as government or political leaders. (Daniel 7:23-25) Historically, Rome existed as an Empire for almost 1,000 years!  Rome was the largest of ancient Empires, stretching from the British Isles, across parts of Europe, and the Middle East.  Rome fell in 476 A.D.  This was the “deadly wound.”

The “healing” began with the restoration of the “Holy Roman Empire,” under Justinian, in 554 A.D.  From that time, the Empire of Rome continued through Charlemagne in 800, Otto the Great, in 962, Charles the Great, in 1520, Napoleon, in 1805, and finally the unification of Italy, under Garibaldi, 1870, through Mussolini and Hitler, which ended in 1945 with the defeat of the Axis powers in World War 2.

These “Kingdoms” all claimed to be the descendants of Rome!  They all had an association with the Church – most of these leaders were crowned “Emperors of the Holy Roman Empire” by the Pope!  These six Kingdoms arose in Europe.

This leaves only one more “prophetic head” to arise to complete the fulfilment of John’s frightening vision in Revelation 13.  John looked northward – across the seas of the Mediterranean and Aegean, to a Eurocentric union of Church and State, promised to be the most powerful resurrection of the Holy Roman Empire in history!

In Revelation 13:3-4, John describes the most fantastic of all prophecies – the entire world – all nations across the earth, giving homage, worship, and attribution to this modern-day resurrection of an Empire. “And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marvelled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”

In the wake of the Russian invasion of the Ukraine, we are now seeing the infancy and the awakening of this new European colossus.  Today European leaders announced the formation of a 5,000-man army “strike force,” for rapid deployment.  Germany has taken the lead in this initiative, along with an already announced increase in military spending for the defence of Europe.

Bible prophecy suggests that the “beast” power will offer the world stability, wealth and comfort.  But will the trade-off for stability, wealth and comfort be the worship of the Beast and the sacrifice of personal freedom?

As we watch world news, is the sea from which the beast will rise, starting to churn? For the Beast to bring answers to people — chaotic, difficult, and tumultuous circumstances must be in place.  Then people will sacrifice their personal freedoms – much like the world has done through the Covid 19 Pandemic — and worship a demonic leader who brings them solutions to their problems. (Revelation 13:3-6)

Do we now stand on the seashore watching the nations of this world descend to the point of chaos which will allow the Beast to rise?

Realistically, we don’t know. The world has been through wars before. The world has been through economic hardships before, as well as famine and pestilence. All those factors have been in place for various parts of the world for millennia.

But the Russian invasion of the Ukraine may signal a new era to the world and Europe

We read in Proverbs 22:3 “A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself, But the simple pass on and are punished.”

We know that the world is going to get very difficult. Out of those difficulties will arise an end time evil leader who will deceive and dominate the world for three and a half years.

Those who lived in the United Kingdom in the 1970s remember the inflation, the bread lines, and the difficulties this country endured.  Are we now entering an even more dangerous and dramatic time now?  With war on European borders, will this coming year be one of increasing hardship?  How are we to face this uncertain time?

Here are two things to consider:

Prepare As Best We can / Remember that God is our provider and deliverer

We have seen a rapid escalation in fuel costs.  Most petrol stations are 30 pence ($1 US) a litre (3.79 US gallons) more expensive than they were a month ago and 45p a litre more expensive than last September, when there was a fuel shortage in the UK with many people being unable to fill up their vehicles for a number of weeks.

The prices are forecast to continue increasing throughout this year with £2 a litre expected (whereas in September 2021 petrol was £1.36 a litre). Some forecasters suggest £3 a litre for diesel (which is used in many cars and most agricultural vehicles) is possible.

The cost of crude oil in 2020 for a time went negative, producers couldn’t sell it quick enough to keep up with production, that situation has changed though.

The price of oil is now rocketing, having only seen these heights in 1980 and 2008. Natural gas is also becoming increasingly expensive, setting new records.

These and other factors are pushing energy prices up and up.  QZ.com (https://qz.com/2138680/natural-gas-prices-in-europe-hit-an-all-time-high/) reported recently that the price of natural gas has stayed in the range of 15-25 Euro per MWh for the last decade. On March 7th it reached 345 Euros per MWh and settled back down to 190 Euros. That’s around 10 times the price for gas that we’ve been used to.

There is also an increase in the domestic energy price cap due in April which is going to allow providers to increase the price for gas and electricity up by approximately 50%. (https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/publications/price-cap-increase-ps693-april)  The old choice of “heating or eating” is going to become a reality for millions of people.

As well as a crisis in energy costs, there is expected to be a crisis in food production.

There are many influencing factors, but most recent is the fact that Russia and Ukraine export a large volume of cereal crops. The two countries account for almost 30 percent of global wheat exports, almost 20 percent of corn exports, and more than 80 percent of the world supply of sunflower oil.

Russia is unable to export due to sanctions and Ukraine will be unable to plant their crop because they are at war, being shelled and invaded. Currently we are living off last year’s harvest, but when those supplies run low, which is anticipated beginning July, there is going to be limited replacement – some media outlets are terming it “the wheat apocalypse”.

The UK doesn’t rely on Ukraine and Russia for wheat, but we live in a global market, so it affects everyone. The Prime Minister spoke recently on the Television news about the pain that sanctions would bring, but most in the UK probably didn’t realise the very real impact it will have at home, but it is coming and in some arenas like energy, it’s already arrived.

The gas price is also affecting fertiliser production which is going to have a huge impact on crop growth in many countries around the world.  There is much more that could be explored, but the point to understand is this:

2022 is likely to be a year of huge price increase in essential services such as fuel and energy. Food is very likely to become much more expensive and restricted in variety and availability.

Revelation 6:5-6 speaks of a time to come, a time of famine that affects many nations:

When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. 6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.”

We know the world must come to a crisis point for the Beast to rise. Are we approaching that point? Is it on the horizon? Will the crisis we are now in lead to what we just read?

We don’t know — nobody does and only time will tell. Things could improve, God could put a halt to the decline, or they could speed up. What we do know is that this year is looking like being very challenging.

In Proverbs 22:3 we read; A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself, But the simple pass on and are punished.

The Bible instructs us to prepare when we see evil or danger on the horizon.

At the beginning of COVID, there was a shortage of essential commodities.  Some of the scarcity was due to panic and hoarding.

What if God allowed those shortages as a warning to prepare for what is to come? Wouldn’t we do well to heed the lesson and the warning?

As the crisis in the Ukraine is still unresolved, this may be the time for prudent students of the Bible to prepare for potential shortages in the months ahead.

But no amount of preparing or prudence should replace our trust in and reliance on God. He is our provider, our sustainer, He gives us the power to work and to trade and He looks after us and our needs. He knows every hair on our head, He knows the pennies in our bank account, and He knows how He will provide for us in our need wherever and whenever that is. One day in the not-too-distant future, He is going to provide for his faithful who are counted worthy, protecting them from the ravages of Satan and the “Beast.” (Revelation 12:14-16)

In the meantime, let’s do our part. In Proverbs 21:20, we read: There is desirable treasure [or food], And oil in the dwelling of the wise, But a foolish man squanders it.

Whilst we do what we can to prepare, God doesn’t want us to get too focused on it or spend our time overly worrying, as it would be very easy and quite natural to do in these times.

Matthew 6:31-34 says: “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

One reason for preparing physically is to take some worry out of that aspect of life, allowing us to focus on what is more important – seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. Let’s learn to put our trust in God knowing that we are in His hand, and He will bring us through whatever is to come.

World News and Prophecy Review

(February 18, 2022) In the movie Miss Congeniality, Sandra Bullock plays an FBI agent who poses as a Beauty Contestant to help solve a crime. One of the many comedic moments of the movie occurs during an interview of Sandra Bullock’s character, Gracie Hart, by the Master of Ceremonies, played by William Shatner:

Stan Fields: (William Shatner) “What is the one most important thing our society needs?”

Gracie Hart: (Sandra Bullock) “That would be… harsher punishment for parole violators, Stan.”

Gracie Hart: “And world peace!”

Her last comment gets a laugh from the audience because beauty pageant contestants are portrayed as somewhat naïve, and everyone knows that “world peace” is just too fantastic to ever happen.

According to Family Times, in over 3580 years of recorded history, there have only been 286 years of peace.  The prophet Isaiah was right. Man does not know the way of peace! (Isaiah 59:8)

WW1 was supposedly the “War to end all wars!”  Of course, it did not.  Since WW2 there have been hundreds of wars all over the earth. Jesus said war would be a “sign” of His second coming. (Matthew 24:6)

“And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.”

After visiting the Temple, several disciples came to Jesus and asked Him what would be the sign of His coming and of the end of the age? (Matthew 24:3)

After listing deception, Jesus first statement about the timing of His return would be war upon the earth. But since there have always been wars, what are we to make of Jesus’ statement? There have been wars constantly since 31 A.D. — nearly 2,000 years!

The same is true for the other signs Jesus gave — “nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, . . . famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.” (Matthew 24:7)

The disciples wanted to know what would immediately precede Jesus coming. 

Christ first mentioned deception (Matthew 24:4), but since Jesus’ death, the Christian world has been filled with deception, with conflicting versions of Christianity, with customs, traditions and celebrations far different than the early New Testament Jerusalem Church. Like war, the world has experienced nearly 2,000 years of religious deception since Jesus gave this prophecy.

Since war, famine, sickness, and earthquakes have always been around – WHY WOULD JESUS SPECIFY THESE CONSTANTS AS SIGNS JUST PRIOR TO HIS COMING?

Did he want His followers to be on edge for 2,000 years, always supposing the “end of the age” was just around the corner? If knowing the general time of the end of the age wasn’t important, then Jesus wouldn’t have given any clues.

Three Keys of the Olivet Prophecy

Sometimes those who know prophecy get excited because there is a preponderance of earthquakes that take place around the world.  Other spectacular events in nature like Tsunamis or volcanoes also give rise to speculation about the fulfillment of Bible Prophecy.

Let’s face it — wars, famines, pandemics and earthquakes are part of man’s existence. How do you separate them from the actual signs of His coming? The answer lies in 3 factors that must coincide with events that have always been part of man’s history.

In the private conversation with Peter, James, John and Andrew (Mark 13:3-4), Jesus said; “this gospel will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations. . .” (Matthew 24:14). “Gospel” means “good news,” but very little of the Olivet Prophecy is really good news. Jesus indicated that the nations of the world would be warned that man’s government and systems would be coming to an end — to be replaced by the righteous government of God! Micah, among many other prophets, foretell this wonderful time when man finally learns of God. (Micah 4:1-5) Mankind will be prosperous, successful and happy! The Good News of God’s coming Kingdom should be well received. But other prophecies, such as Revelation 11:18 show us that the news the governments of man will be replaced by God’s government will be met with hostility.

Jesus said this announcement would go out to all the world. It makes sense, doesn’t it? The Bible also tells us that God reveals His plan through prophecy (Amos 3:7). The principle of Ezekiel 33:1-11 helps us understand the responsibility for human messengers to proclaim a message of warning and encouragement. Revelation 11:3-7 show the work of two witnesses, who will proclaim God’s message of warning and hope for 3 1/2 years, and Revelation 14:6-7 show angelic proclamation that will take place at the same time! The world will not be deprived of God’s warning of impending doom and punishment for disobedience!

The second key to understanding the timing of this important prophecy is that at a future date, Jerusalem will be “surrounded by armies.” (Luke 21:20) Matthew and Mark both refer to this event as being similar to historical events of the past — also mentioned by the Prophet Daniel, as “the abomination of desolation.” (Matthew 24:15, Mark 13:14, Daniel 12:11) Nearly 40 years after Jesus’ meeting with His disciples, Jerusalem was surrounded by Roman legions, and the Temple was razed to the ground, in fulfillment of Matthew 24:2. In the mid 6th century B.C., Daniel’s prophecy projected events nearly 400 years into the future, of the ruler of the Seleucid Empire, Antiochus Epiphanes. He placed a statue of Jupiter in the Temple in Jerusalem in 167 B.C. This ancient event would be a type of future prophetic fulfillment. What happened in Jerusalem in 167 B.C. and 70 A.D., were types of what will happen at the “end of the age.”

In modern times, since the establishment of the nation of Israel, the Jewish state has successfully repelled hostile nations in 1948, 1956, 1967 and 1973. Israel is always on war preparedness footing, yet in the future, foreign armies will surround the city of Jerusalem, and a bold and charismatic religious leader will become a future “abomination of desolation.” (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4)

The final key to understanding the timing of the Olivet prophecy is found in Matthew 24:21-22. Jesus said there would be such turmoil on earth that if it were not cut short by His return, “no flesh would be saved.” If God let man continue on his current path, then annihilation of all human life would be the conclusion. This could only be possible in a time when man has the sophisticated weaponry that could accomplish this task. A holocaust that could envelope all humanity has technically been possible since the mid 1950’s with the combined nuclear weapon arsenals of all nations.

The Olivet Prophecy of Jesus Christ covers a lot of ground. The disciples were well aware of the ancient prophecies and types that Jesus referred to. The major signs of deception, war, famine, pestilence and earthquakes, combined with the gospel message, the occupation of Jerusalem and the potential of the destruction of human life help the reader to understand that these events will all happen concurrently.

Do not prematurely react to single events, no matter how spectacular, such as wars and rumors of wars.

Or, famine, disease outbreaks or earthquakes – if they are isolated events, as if they were specific signs of Jesus’ coming.  Since these have always been part of man’s history, they ONLY become signs of Jesus imminent coming when they are coupled with extreme deception, tribulation, the gospel of the Kingdom being preached, and Jerusalem becoming the focal point of world affairs such that armies are surrounding it.

The Olivet Prophecy

One of the most comprehensive prophecies of the New Testament is found in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21. These chapters describe the same action — Jesus answering an important question from His disciples — “what will be the sign of your coming, and of the end of the age?” (Matthew 24:4)

Jesus and His disciples had been to the temple. They observed the activity, and Jesus pointed out an example of giving that most would miss. A poor widow gave a greater proportion of her substance than anyone else. (Luke 20:41-44)

The disciples were impressed with the Temple buildings, but Jesus told them the Temple would be destroyed. This prophecy was fulfilled in 70 A.D. as Roman legions sacked Jerusalem and tore down the temple. (Mark 13:2)

In Mark’s account, he recalls that 4 disciples, Peter, James, John and Andrew asked Jesus; “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign when all these things will be fulfilled?” (Mark 13:4) Many Bible students know that prophecy is often dual, so an end time fulfillment of the Olivet prophecy is anticipated. This is augmented by Jesus’ warning that unless God would cut short the time the time of “great tribulation,” “no flesh would be saved.” (Matthew 24:21-22) The extermination of all human life was not possible until the midpoint of the 20th century, when mass destruction potential was realized with the development of nuclear arsenals.

“Times of the Gentiles?”

Luke’s account contains a phrase which has intrigued students of prophecy. In Luke 21:20, we read that Jerusalem will be surrounded by armies, and in verse 24, Jesus said Jerusalem would “be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.”

Many have wondered; what are “the times of the Gentiles?” Is Jesus reference to a specific time period of history or prophecy?

“Times” and “Day for a Year” Principle

The Bible specifies 2 types of nations — the first being those of the 12 Tribes of Israel, described in Genesis 49 and Deuteronomy 33. Each of Jacob’s 12 sons had families that became tribes. Eventually they would become nations (Genesis 48:19-20) and Jacob (Israel) prophesied what would happen to them “in the last days.” (Genesis 49:1) Therefore, the modern descendants of these sons are the “nations of Israel” from the Biblical historical point of view. All other nations of the world are “gentile.”

The Bible is also very clear that the prophecy of Genesis 49, which includes specific bountiful blessings of international significance would not begin to be realized for thousands of years. God promised the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob incredible abundance (Genesis 48:15-16) but these blessings were withheld because of disobedience. In Leviticus 26:14-21, God promised punishment for a period of 7 times (v.18).

“Times” is defined in the Bible as year, as shown in Revelation 12:6 and Revelation 12:14, which describes a period of 1260 days as “times, time and half a time.” Seven “times” would be “seven years,” each containing twelve 30-day months, or a total of 2520 days (7x12x30).

Another principle to extract regarding the time of Israel’s punishment is found in Numbers 14:34. God told Israel they would bear their iniquities in the wilderness after the number of days the searched the land of Canaan, forty days, each day for a year.

Seven times or 2520 prophetic days would equal 2520 years! The House of Israel (10 tribes/nations) eventually went into captivity by the ancient Assyrians, 721-718 B.C. After this time of punishment, the blessings of Abraham, especially to Joseph’s sons, Ephraim and Manasseh began to be realized. Ephraim became a great “Commonwealth of Nations” in Great Britain, and Manasseh also began to rise to prominence, and both nations became exceedingly blessed in fabulous and bountiful resources, at the beginning of the 19th Century — exactly 2,520 years later!

Nebuchadnezzar’s Seven Times Punishment

Some have suggested the dating principles of God’s punishment has also been upon the Gentile nations of the world since the fall of the first major world ruling Kingdom, Babylon, in 539 B.C. Since King Nebuchadnezzar was punished by God for 7 “times” or years, some have wondered if the Gentile nations have also been cursed for 2,520 years as well? This possible explanation of the “times of the Gentiles” being fulfilled at the return of Jesus is highly unlikely.

First, the supposed end of Gentile “punishment” would have ended 40 years ago, in 1982! But unlike the rise to prominence of the United States with the expansion westward with the Louisiana purchase, the acquisition of the Gadsden purchase later, or the growth of the British Empire, nothing happened during the early and mid 1980s to signal a rise of domination by nations other than the descendants of ancient Israel. Some have pointed to Pope John Paul’s speech given at Santiago de Compostela on Nov. 9, 1982: “I, the bishop of Rome and pastor of the universal church, cry out with love from Santiago to you, ancient Europe: ‘Rediscover yourself. Be yourself.’ Rediscover your beginnings. Let your roots live again.” Despite his plea, much of Europe remains divided and secular.

“Babylon Is Fallen, Is Fallen”

What led credence to the theory above is that Babylon did fall, as the dream God gave to Nebuchadnezzar prophesied in Daniel 4:13-15 and the King was given the mind of a wild beast. (Daniel 4:31-33) Symbolically, his kingdom, is represented in Daniel 4 as a tree (Daniel 4:10-11) that was cut down by an angel, and a band of iron and bronze, bound the stump that remained. (Daniel 4:13-15)

The end time system that will be defeated by Jesus Christ at His return is called “Babylon the Great.” (Revelation 17:5) In Revelation 18:1-3, we read that “Babylon” — an economic, political, military and religious system which includes all nations prior to Jesus’ return, is once again cut down. The defeat of this system is further described in Revelation 19, and many other prophecies describing Jesus’ return to earth. Some have thought that Pope John Paul II’s remarks for Europe to let “your roots live.” might be a fulfillment of the previously banded (tree) Babylon, cut down by the Persian Empire in 539 B.C. to begin a period of growth or domination by gentile nations in the 1980’s. But the premier power for 8 decades has been the United States of America. It is difficult to apply the 2,520 year / 7 times principle of prophecy to the Gentile nations. It is a square prophetic peg in a round hole!

“Times of the Nations”

What then did Jesus mean by “times of the Gentiles” being fulfilled? Some versions of the English language of The Holy Bible shed light on this question. “Gentiles” is translated in several modern versions as “nations.” Luke 21:24-27 describes the return of Jesus Christ to earth. He will rule all nations! (Revelation 12:5) The nations of the earth will no longer be cursed by the unrighteous rule of man and his systems. Man’s rule, apart from God will finally be over.

What will be the result of God’s dramatic intervention?

In Micah 4: 1-2 we read; “Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the Lord’s house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And peoples shall flow to it. ² Many nations shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion the law shall go forth, And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.”

The good news is that the curse of man’s government will be over when the “times of the nations” are fulfilled!

(December 7, 2021) Eighty years ago, the Japanese Naval fleet lay two hundred miles north of the Hawaiin islands, readied itself for the surprise attack on Pearl Habor. As military planning goes, it was one of the most successfully orchestrated military operations in human history. But it also brought America into World War II, and once repairs had been made to the Pacific fleet, American patriotism soared, and support for the war effort never wavered.

America, along with the Allied nations of the Great Britain, Canada, France, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the Soviet Union, (and many other nations who were original signatories of the Declaration of the United Nations) successfully waged a war on two fronts, defeating the Axis powers, with a final victory over Japan in August, 1945.

World War II proved the American will to defend freedom at all costs. After disastrous losses in the Pacific, the United States re-grouped and staged the greatest military comeback and mounted the greatest military victory in man’s history.

America’s Declaration of War against Japan and Germany was not only a defense of the 48 States it was a defense of freedom for the world!

After World War II, America fought the “Cold War” against the Soviet Union, and Communism was successfully routed in Eastern Europe, and the “Iron Curtain” — Churchill’s name for Soviet dominance — was lifted as the Berlin wall fell, in 1989.

In the decades following World War II, many nations won independence from colonial powers, as the effect of the “American Century” fully took hold around the globe. With the rise of American influence, individual freedoms flourished around the world, inspired by the “American experiment.” The freedom associated with America of the 20th Century has been unique in man’s history. Americans trace their individual freedom of speech, assembly, the right and freedom to bear arms, to assemble, etc., to the Declaration of Independence of 1776 and the Constitution of the United States. The writers and signers of these documents traced these individual liberties to The Holy Bible.

The ancient 12 tribes of Israel were released from slavery in Egypt, and given the Law of God, with very little “governmental” oversight. The structure of Israel’s government changed from individual responsibility and a system of Priests and Judges to essentially copying other nations, with a rule by Kings and huge bureaucratic systems. God allowed the people of Israel their way, although it clearly wasn’t in their best interest. (1 Samuel 8:4-8) For brief periods prior to this time, when Israel was ruled by righteous Judges, the nation of Israel flourished, as long as they obeyed God’s law, and followed the lead of the Judges.

From those ancient times, the world was governed by Kings and Dictators who ruled by whim, whimsy and “Divine Right.” Until the 20th Century, the vast majority of all humans who have ever lived enjoyed little personal freedom. Is it any coincidence that the greatest leap forward socially and technically have come about with the restoration of personal freedom, protected by law, as espoused by the United States of America, and to a lesser extent, Great Britian?

Two World Wars were fought in the 20th Century over the struggle between Dictators, Authoritarian rule and Democratic rule of and by the people. The Covid crisis of the 21st Century has clearly outlined the future pathway back to autocratic rule over all mankind as individual freedoms are being erased at an alarming rate. The prophesied governmental system that will exist prior to the return of Jesus Christ is authoritarian, dictatorial, and will rule over the entire earth! Under the auspice of “protecting health” and the “greater good,” governments around the world have enacted universal mandates that many have argued have done nothing to slow the spread of the Covid virus. Forced vaccinations in some countries have only resulted in more and more cases, as the virus mutates in response to ineffective vaccines. The most vaccinated nation on earth, Israel, is now mandating up to 7 shots to wipe out the virus, yet they have the highest rate of new Covid infection!

Despite the evidence which shows that the vaccines have caused 71 times higher incidence of heart attacks than all other previous vaccines, and that 1 in every 35 adverse events end in death — governments and vaccine companies continue to promote the shots and boosters, and the definition of “fully vaccinated” continues to change — from 2, to 3, to 4, and in Israel up to 7 shots!

When this system is fully in place, there won’t be a champion of individual and civil rights like the United States anymore. The government of the future — a world ruling government, is going to be installed by “The dragon,” (Revelation 13:1-2) is going to blaspheme God, (Revelation 13:5-6) make WAR with true believers in God, (Revelation 13:7) and is a government, unlike any before, which will be worshipped by the entire earth! (Revelation 13:14)

What the above prophecies, and hundreds of other forewarn us of, is the final erasure of individual rights and freedoms until Jesus Christ restores them to this planet upon His return!

You need to prepare for this inevitability, because it is more certain than any single thing that will happen in this age! Many will be unprepared for what is coming. Still others will look for the United States and other nations to return to “normal.” THIS IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! Please read the chilling prophecy in Jeremiah 30:1-7. It outlines a future captivity that is coming upon the United States, Great Britain, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and the modern state of Israel. Judah and Israel did not go into ancient captivities together, they were separated by over 120 years in history, but Jeremiah, and other prophets predicted a concurrent captivity — in the time of the end! And as the United States power is weakened through an increasing diminished capacity in the Executive Branch, the most powerful office in the world, with America being overrun with illegal immigration, with inevitable financial collapse seemingly just around the corner — how far can we really be away from the fulfillment of these important prophecies?

(November 24, 2021) A day of Thanksgiving is an enduring tradition of American
history. But in many cases, the meaning of the day has been lost in the trappings of the celebration; parades, sporting events, and the thanksgiving meal itself. How much time is actually spent on reflecting on the blessings and wealth and the central purpose of the day – Thanksgiving?

Uniquely American

There are other nations that celebrate types of national thanksgiving, but the United States is alone in the foundation of a universal day centered on giving thanks to God. That foundation goes back to the journey of the original Pilgrims who moved to the “New World” to escape religious persecution in England, in 1620. Over the next 150 years, hundreds of thousands of additional “pilgrims” fleeing religious and political persecution and oppression fulfilled an important Bible prophecy about the descendants of ancient Israel found in Amos 9:9. The prophet Amos was a herdsman from the southern Kingdom of Judah, given a message to take to the Northern tribes of Israel.

What Happened to the “Lost Tribes?”

Bible students know that after the death of King Solomon, the United Kingdom of Israel split into 2 nations, the Southern kingdom of Judah, which included some of Benjamin and Levi, and the northern tribes who became a separate nation, referred to in Biblical history and prophecy as “Israel”, “Jacob” or “Joseph”, and sometimes “Samaria,” to distinguish it from Judah and Jerusalem. By the time Amos came on the scene, “Samaria,” or “Israel” and “Judah” had existed as separate nations for over 200 years! One of the messages this prophet of Judah carried to the northern Kingdom was a warning of impending captivity of the entire nation.

The Captivity of Israel

This warning proved to be very unpopular to the advisors of the King, Jeroboam II – and ultimately the message Amos carried to the capital city of Samaria was ignored. (Amos 7: 10-11) Some 50 or so years later, (721-718 B.C.) and after warnings from Amos and other prophets, the fall of Samaria did come, and the entire nation was conquered and carried away by the nation of Assyria.

The Location of the House of Israel

The Kingdom of Assyria was itself conquered by Babylon, (609 B.C.) and the migration of the original people of “Israel,” or “Jacob” had begun. In the middle of the first century AD, the gospel of the Kingdom of God had been taken to these “lost tribes,” fulfilling yet another prophecy, this one given by Jesus to his disciples in Matthew 10:5-7 to take the Gospel to the “lost sheep of the house of Israel.”

The Day of Pentecost, 31 A.D., marked the beginning of the New Testament Church and the Church of God began and grew in Jerusalem and then into the rest of the Roman Empire. The Book of Acts records the work of the Apostle Paul, taking the message of the Gospel to the gentiles. Did the rest of the disciples forget the important mandate to preach to the descendants of Israel? No!

Note the audience James, the brother of Jesus Christ addressed, in his letter, dated around 61 A.D., some 30 years after the birth of the Church of God: (James 1:1) James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad:. The location of the scattered tribes of Israel was known! It had to be, in order for the disciples to fulfill the command that Jesus had given them!

The Apostle Peter addressed the same people and the specified the exact location of the tribes of Israel, in his letter, written around 65 A.D.: (1 Peter 1:1) Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To the pilgrims of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia. Other translations call these people “strangers,” “exiles,” “sojourners,” or “resident aliens.” The areas they were living in at the time of the 1st century was not their homeland. They had moved and migrated there, and would later continue their migration to Europe. These tribes had been dispersed through several migrations at the behest of several conquering nations. This means the gospel message was taken to the House of Israel, a fact which is lost on most secular historians, who have no explanation for what happened to these people after the captivity of the Northern Kingdom.

The message of the Kingdom of God – and the message of Pentecost – ““Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38) – began to bear fruit in all the world. Note 1 Peter 1:2: elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

In the areas of Pontus, parts of eastern Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia, areas just south of the Black and Caspian seas, the Church of God existed in the communities of the scattered “lost” tribes! Peter’s letter is addressed to the “elect,” – the Church of God!

These two brief mentions in the General Epistles of James and Peter help explain the reason Paul and his company were prevented by the Holy Spirit from traveling to these exact locations.

(Acts 16:6-7) Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia. 7 After they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them. Paul and his party were not allowed to go any further east, into Asia, because other Apostles were already there in obedience to Jesus’ command and instruction to take the message of His Kingdom to the “lost tribes!”

In a dream, Paul was instructed to go in another direction: (Acts 16:8-10) So passing by Mysia, they came down to Troas. 9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” 10 Now after he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them. Why was Paul prevented from going further east? There was no need. Other Apostles were already there, and Paul was needed elsewhere. The Holy Spirit, or power of God made it clear they could not go there. It was an efficient use of the available manpower. The history of the Church of God and the movement of the descendants of the 12 tribes of Israel would be linked from that time onward.

The Foundation of Religious Liberty and Thanksgiving

When we remember the founding of our nation, the original Pilgrims and the Declaration of Independence in 1776, we should remember that the primary motivation behind our collective history as a nation was motivated by men and women who sought the personal and religious liberties guaranteed by the Law of God! This was the shared motivation of hundreds of thousands from all over Europe for generations to come.

Thus, the fulfillment of Amos’ prophecy of Israel “being sifted through the nations, but not one grain being lost,” gradually came to pass and the main foundation of the New World were the aspirational ideals of The Holy Bible. The founding of America and its rich tradition of giving thanks to God is unique among the nations. The formal codification of a National Thanksgiving Day by Abraham Lincoln had been preceded by dozens of such
announcements and declarations, by State Houses, legislatures, Governors and Presidents Washington, Adams and Jefferson. Their inspiration of giving thanks to God is found within the pages of the Bible.

(November 4, 2021) Revelation 12:12 is a fascinating prophecy about Satan, and his interaction with mankind. It reveals that the Devil knows his time is short. “Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.”

The Good News Translation renders the last part of this verse as follows: “For the Devil has come down to you, and he is filled with rage, because he knows that he has only a little time left.”

Continuing in Revelation 12:13, the devil, is characterized as “a dragon.” The term dragon appears 13 times in the New Testament, all in the Book of Revelation. The Holman Illustrated Bible Dictionary explains Dragon as; “a mythological sea monster symbolic of the forces of chaos and evil in opposition to God’s creative and redemptive work. In the NT Revelation develops sense 4, describing the dragon as a great, red monster with seven heads and ten horns. This dragon is clearly identified with Satan (the Devil) and is termed the deceiver and the accuser of the saints. As in the OT texts, the dragon is put under guard (Revelation20:1–3; Job 7:12) and later released for final destruction (Revelation20:7–10; Isaiah 27:1).”

The prophecy of Revelation 12 indicates a specific time of realization by the devil. He and 1/3 of the angelic realm who defected with him (Revelation 12:4) have been confined and marooned on Planet Earth! This passage, and others, could indicate that Satan and his demons realize their life span is limited! Note that Jude prophesied twice about the fate of the rebellious angels. Jude 6 says that “everlasting chains under darkness,” is to be their punishment. Chains are synonymous for punishment, and darkness is associated with death and blackness (Jude 13) 13 times throughout the Holy Bible.

Early in His ministry, Jesus met two demon possessed men, who, upon recognizing Him, asked Him, “Have you come here to torment us before the time?” (Matthew 8:29) What “time”? The time of their eternal punishment, or death!

When the devil knows his time is limited, he persecutes the woman, a symbol of the people of God, or the Church of God. It is to the Church that the message of the Book of Revelation is intended! The Book of Revelation was given to the Apostle John, by Jesus Christ, by angelic messenger, to present it to the Church. (Revelation 1:1-4)

Revelation 12:13-17 continues the story of the devil’s persecution. But how does he do it? Through human instruments! Revelation 13:1-4 depicts a dragon like creature emerging out of sea. This beast is a government, King and/or Kingdom. This symbol is also described and defined in Daniel 7:23-25 and the same action by this Kingdom is repeated as a theme in Revelation 13:7. This unholy government or kingdom will declare war on the saints — The Church of God. Revelation 12:17 shows that the devil will attack and make war on those “who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”

The Mark of the Beast

The final part of Revelation 13 describes the “mark of the beast.” (Revelation 13:16-17) What is it? This mark, and this mark alone, enables those who receive it to participate in economic commerce — to be able to “buy and sell.” This means that to have a job or be able to support yourself, one will need to “receive” “the mark.” (Revelation 13:16) The “saints” will not receive this mark, but the rest of the world will! The rest of the world will worship and marvel at the work, the power and might of a coming World Superpower that will have dominion over all mankind! (Revelation 13:3-4, Revelation 12:8, Revelation 17:8)

God’s people will not have this dreaded mark, and therefore will not suffer the wrath of God that will accompany those accepting this mysterious mark. (Revelation 14:12) So, again, we must ask — if we are to escape the wrath of God poured out on the rest of the earth — what is the “mark of the beast?” Is it a branding, a worldwide identification number or implantable device accepted by all mankind? To find the answer, let’s reverse engineer the problem by asking what is it that identifies the people of God who will not have this horrifying mark? But they do “keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” (Revelation 12:17)

In the Old Testament, God explained to the children of Israel, His chosen people, that His Sabbaths would be a sign between “Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you.” (Exodus 31:13, Ezekiel 20:12, Ezekiel 20:20) So the people of God are identified by keeping God’s Sabbath days. Israel was commanded to “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.” But most of the Christian world celebrates the first day of the week — SUNDAY, while the 7th Day, or Saturday is thought by many to only apply to the “Jews.” But the New Testament Church kept the 7th Day, and all other Holy Days mentioned as “Sabbaths.” These days identify God’s people, or the true Church of God.

For hundreds of years after the establishment of the New Testament Church, the Church of God continued to keep the 7th Day. The decree of the Roman Emperor Constantine, in 324 mandated Sunday observance. His edict formalized a gradual drift away from Sabbath keeping as Christianity slowly was amalgamated and synchronized with other pagan beliefs, including the worship of the sun!

If the Sabbaths of God identify His people, and are “signs,” then the “mark of the beast” or sign between the dragon and the rest of the world, is the belief, acceptance and mandated worship of this horrendous combination of Church and State, on Sunday! The prophecy of Daniel 7:25 indicates the Beast will change “times and law,” meaning the enforcement of this decree. If one is not obedient to these LAWS and MANDATES of the time of the end, it will be impossible to hold a job, buy food at the supermarket, or buy gas for transportation.

Is this so hard to believe? Can you see a present-day application? In the age of Covid-19, governments have decreed employers must enforce the government mandate for vaccination. The Biden administration announced in the last few days that companies will be fined $14,000 per infraction. The Governor of California has issued a mandate for all school age children to be vaccinated! It is easy to see how governments will be able to coerce compliance. The fact is; we are not that far from the mark of the beast being enforced. How many people will compromise in order to function in society?

How will it be accomplished — this forced religious worship by the whole world? Angela Randall, a nurse interviewed several times by World News and Prophecy Review put the forced vaccine mandate in these terms; “The first step was the fear of the Covid-19 virus, equating getting the virus to a virtual death sentence, when the survival rate, with no treatment for all age groups is 99.995%, overall. The next step is bribery, by forcing you to do something you wouldn’t normally do, in order to keep your job. Finally, the last step to achieve their goal is forced coercion.” In some nations, laws have already been passed that allow children to be vaccinated without parental consent!

As in prophetic fulfillment, governments are able to identify and target individual citizens. In the last 22 months, governments and their police have arrested those who disagree with their mandates — in some cases arresting those who have disagreed with governmental mandates on social media!

Not all pieces of the prophetic puzzle are in place. But the forced compliance of free citizens around the globe, under the guise of defeating a virus, is a possible foreshadowing of what is coming!

(October 28, 2021) A story of “biblical proportions”—a story with deep biblical implications—is being picked up by news outlets across the country and around the world.

Dr. Steven Collins, the Executive Dean at Albuquerque’s Trinity Southwest University has been excavating for 15 years at a site he believes is biblical Sodom. In just the last 12 months some very exciting scientific discoveries have been made.

The excavation site is in the Jordan Valley across from Jericho, but on the Jordanian side of the Jordan River.

The site is huge—easily four to five times the size of Jericho. Dr. Collins and his team made a lot of progress just this past year in finding evidence of overwhelming destruction at this place called today, Tall (Tel) el-Hammam.

The Tall el-Hammam excavation site fits the biblical description of the location of ancient Sodom very well. The destruction layers found by the archaeologists also fit the biblical description of the city’s sudden end. The evidence shows a supernatural destruction of whatever used to be there.

I do have some dating issues with this site. My chronology of the time in which Abraham lived doesn’t quite match up with the dating of the site given by the scientists. They place the destruction of the city from the archaeological evidence about 175 years later than we would.

The scientists are very insistent their dating methods of the site are correct. Perhaps more will come to light in the coming months and years, along with more archaeological discoveries, which bring us all closer together on the date of this find. But the site itself is very compelling for the city of ancient Sodom.

Yes, a story of “biblical proportions”—a story with deep biblical and spiritual implications—is being published across the archaeological community.

Where was Sodom located?

Let’s begin with a description of where Sodom was located.

GENESIS 13:10-13   10 And Lot lifted his eyes [from Bethel and Ai verse 3] and saw all the plain [כִּכַּ֣ר (kik·kar) (circle)] of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere (before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah) like the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt as you go toward Zoar. 11 Then Lot chose for himself all the plain [כִּכַּ֣ר (kik·kar) (circle)] of Jordan, and Lot journeyed east. And they separated from each other. 12 Abram dwelt in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelt in the cities of the plain [הַכִּכָּ֔ר (hak·kik·kār)] and pitched his tent even as far as Sodom. 13 But the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked and sinful against the LORD.

When you stand on the road between Bethel and Ai, and look down south-east toward the Jordan River, to the Dead Sea, the best location for where Sodom was located is the flat, circular, kikkar, plain just north of the Dead Sea near Jericho.

Some scientists say Sodom was at the south end of the Dead Sea. But you can’t see that from Bethel and Ai. But you can easily see the flat, round, disc-like, fertile plain where the Jordan River enters the Dead Sea. This is where Tall el-Hammam is located.

We are all very familiar with the destruction by God of Sodom and Gomorrah because of the sins of the people in those cities and the surrounding towns. Only a handful of residents escaped. Abraham pleaded with God to save the city if even a few righteous people could be found there. Unfortunately, other than for Abraham’s nephew, Lot, and his family, there were none righteous.

What have scientists found?

Let’s now compare what scientists have found with the biblical story of Sodom. Is there any correlation?

Dr Phil Silvia, Director of Scientific Analysis for the Tall el-Hammam Excavation Project, announced on September 20 the publication of a major paper in Nature Scientific Reports titled “A Tunguska sized Airburst destroyed Tall el-Hammam, a Middle Bronze Age city in the Jordan Valley near the Dead Sea.”

This massive, peer-reviewed paper, written by over 20 contributing authors in addition to Dr. Silvia, provides detailed forensic evidence that a cosmic airburst obliterated Tall el-Hammam, the largest city in the Dead Sea area during the time of Abraham, around 1700 B.C.

Tall el-Hammam excavation director, Dr. Steven Collins, has long proposed the site as the most likely candidate for the biblical city of Sodom. It is in the right place, based on many geographical clues in Genesis. Its settlement history, based on the archaeological evidence, spans the right time to match the biblical references to Sodom—with the exception, as I noted, that their dates don’t exactly match my dates for the time Abraham lived. They are close, but not quite the same. We will see how that works out over time. And the architecture and artifacts uncovered so far are exactly right for the stature given to Sodom.

In 2014, the Comet Research Group (CRG), a non profit corporation in Arizona, was invited to bring one of their teams to assist in the examination of material evidence from within the destruction layer. The CRG has authored more than 40 major journal publications defining another cosmic catastrophe at the close of the last ice age 13,000 years ago, the so-called Younger Dryas Impact.

The archeological history of the site was well defined after 15 field seasons, but a far different set of skills was needed to properly investigate the burn layer. The CRG had the technical and forensic ability to determine whether or not the field evidence supports the biblical description.

Far from being conspiracy-theory fiction, the biblical account of destruction from the sky turned out to be supported by numerous lines of geochemical and material evidence buried below the surface of the ruin-mound. A carbon-and-ash-rich destruction layer contained peak concentrations of shocked quartz; melted pottery and mud bricks; diamond-like carbon; soot; iron-rich and silicon-rich spherules; spherules from melted plaster and melted platinum, iridium, nickel, gold, silver, zircon, chromite, and quartz.

Heating experiments indicate temperatures instantly exceeded 2000 °C. How hot is that? Enough to turn a truck into a molten pool of iron!

Dr Allen West of the CRG says of the findings, “Among more technical evidence, we discovered human bones that had been splattered by molten glass from the event. The glass is indistinguishable from that found at ground zero after atomic explosions! These people were killed by the heat and pressure of an atomic-like explosion but without the radiation.”

Biblical scholars for centuries have proposed other locations for the “Cities of the Plain,” ranging from Tall el-Hammam at the north end of the Dead Sea to several sites to the south. But the text of Genesis 13 clearly puts the city in the north, visible from Bethel and Ai.

The evidence is overwhelmingly supportive of Steven Collins’ claim that Tall el-Hammam is the right place at the right time with the right evidence to be the most logical candidate for this infamous city.

Dr Silvia has produced fourteen lines of evidence that help confirm this as the location for the ancient city of Sodom.

Key conclusions of the study

Here are the key conclusions of the research paper about Tall el-Hammam.

They say, an unusual 3,600-year-old charcoal-rich destruction layer at Tall el-Hammam marks the sudden abandonment of a Middle-Bronze-Age urban center in the Jordan Valley close to the north end of the Dead Sea. Across the 30-km-wide lower Jordan Valley, 15 other cities and more than 100 smaller villages were simultaneously abandoned at the end of the Middle Bronze Age to remain largely uninhabited for approximately 300–600 years, pointing to the occurrence of some highly unusual catastrophic event.

A world returning to Sodom

With all that has been discovered at the north end of the Dead Sea, on the Jordanian side of the Jordan River, what if this is the site of ancient Sodom, Gomorrah and the surrounding towns? What if Sodom has been found?

I’d like to ask an even more important question: What if our world is returning to Sodom? What are the lessons for us today?

We have been commanded to preach the gospel to the world, and in particular to the descendants of ancient Israel. That includes the United States, Canada, the British Isles, Australia and New Zealand. What if they won’t listen and repent? What if they won’t hear?

MATTHEW 10:5-6, 14-15   5 These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Matthew 10: 14-15 And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet. 15 Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!

Secular experts dispute any literal claim for the existence of Sodom, insisting that the biblical story is a myth, despite the many geographic clues contained within the Bible.

If so, then why would Jesus Himself mention these ancient cities? Sodom is mentioned nine times in the New Testament, many times by Jesus Himself. Why would Jesus talk about a place that never existed? That was never destroyed supernaturally? We have to conclude that it was a real place at a real time with real sins.

As we see here in Matthew chapter 10, why is the example of Sodom put alongside warning many of the English-speaking people of our world today—warning the lost sheep of the house of Israel? It’s a scary, provocative thought! It’s for our nations today!

Do you think God is unhappy with our country? What does he think of the millions of lives being murdered in the womb? What does he think of our sexual revolution? What about the confusing versions of gender beyond male and female? What about our broken marriages, high crime, drugs, fentanyl, inner city crime, murder and disrespect for the value of a life? Are we returning to Sodom? Have we already returned to Sodom? Is judgment imminent?

We are on the precipice of a godly judgment on this world.

Conclusion

Our editorial department has followed the story of Tall el-Hammam being the possible location of ancient Sodom, because it would be just like God to give powerful witnesses to the truth and accuracy of His Word as a final witness to the world before His judgment is enacted.

Is Tall el-Hammam the location of Sodom, Gomorrah and the surrounding towns of the plain that were destroyed by God using a fireball from heaven? Perhaps time will tell. Perhaps even more evidence will come to light. In any case, it should stand as a warning and a witness, as the apostle Peter said, “[as] an example to those who afterward would live ungodly.”

The message of Sodom is one of repentance, which is our message as well. Each of us must not get caught up in a world which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt. The Lake of Fire, complete destruction, awaits those who will not repent.

Special/Emergency Report, October 27, 2021

One of President Ronald Reagan’s most famous quotes was; “The most terrifying words in the English language are: I’m from the government and I’m here to help.”

In August, World News and Prophecy Review covered a peaceful demonstration outside the largest hospital system in the Southwest United States, Banner Health Hospitals. Hundreds gathered, in temperatures exceeding 105 degrees, in Tucson Arizona to protest the mandated, forced inoculations or health care workers. We spoke with dozens of nurses, nurse practioners and physicians — all willing to lose their jobs before submitting to a mandate to take a Covid-19 vaccine. President Biden had signed and Executive Order that mandated compulsory vaccination, to be enforced by companies with 100 or more employees. Yet another example of governmental “help.”

Since that time, many hundreds of Banner Health employees have either left their positions as physicians, nurses and other healthcare workers because they have refused to take the experimental Covid-19 vaccines. (If you have heard that many hospitals are “overwhelmed” or don’t have enough beds for new patients, don’t believe it — inside sources from a variety of hospitals systems have disclosed to WN&PR the actual problem — a shortage of healthcare professionals who have been forced off the job! Many hospital systems simply do not have enough workers to go around.)

Angela was right!

Just yesterday, an FDA panel voted to approve Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5 to 11, and formal approval is expected to be announced on November 2. If the FDA approval is granted Pfizer, the Center For Disease Control is expected to expedite the inoculation of millions of children. “The administration is working on the operations and logistics. So, as soon as we have both the FDA authorization and the CDC recommendations, there will be vaccine out there so children can start rolling up their sleeves,” said Rochelle Walensky, of the CDC.

Is it possible that now your children will be mandated to take a vaccine in order to go to school or participate in extra-curricular activities at school?

Why the push to vaccinate young children, who have had no known risk of death from Covid-19? Pfizer already has approval to give the shot to children ages 12-18. In addition, a blockbuster lie has been told the American public, that the FDA has “fully approved” the vaccines. This is untrue.

It is only BioNTech that got FDA approval, but is conditional on completion of a series of further tests on select groups including infants, pregnant women and youth, by 2027. The US vaccine, Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine, only got extension of its Emergency Use Authorization (EUA), not full approval!

In their separate letter to Pfizer, the FDA stated, “…On August 23, 2021, having concluded that revising this EUA is appropriate to protect the public health or safety under section 564(g)(2) of the Act, FDA is reissuing the August 12, 2021 letter of (Emergency Use) authorization in its entirety with revisions incorporated to clarify that the EUA will remain in place for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for the previously-authorized indication and uses…”(emphasis added).

There you have it. No vaccines have been approved by the normal processes of the Food and Drug Administration, and approval is promised 6 years from now. Yet many have been led to believe that all vaccines are “approved,” and a relentless ad campaign has promoted them as “safe and effective.” Except they aren’t safe because nearly 20,000 fatalities, directly associated with the Covid-19 vaccines, have been already recorded by the VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System) in the United States — more than ALL OTHER VACCINE DEATHS COMBINED SINCE 1990! Along with hundreds of thousands of adverse events, many of them very serious. The system only captures the deaths and events that are voluntary reported, so the real numbers may be much higher — by a factor of 10 or more! We have also learned that the vaccines do not prevent infection, and in fact, through the phenomenon known as “viral shedding,” may be the contributing factor in the spread of the so-called variants.

What will happen with a mass scale vaccination of small children? During the Advisory Panel meeting this week, the panel was asked an important question: “Based on the totality of scientific evidence available, do the benefits of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine when administered as a two-dose series outweigh its risks for use in children 5-11 years of age?” Harvard Professor Dr. Eric Ruben answered; “We’re never going to learn about how safe the vaccine is until we start giving it.” Are you kidding?

Governor of California Gavin Newsome has already signed an Executive order mandating all school age children in California get the shot as soon as they are eligible. It seems likely that further mandates by other states will be enacted, and despite the low risk of infection and death from the actual virus for children, the government is here to “help” not only you, but your children, and the future is indeed scary. Our children are about to become pawns in one of the maddest live science experiments ever conducted.

If you think the practice of forced, mandated unproven medications upon adults or children is immoral, what can you do about it?

While a captive in the nation of Babylon, the prophet Ezekiel received a vision and a commission from God. His message was primarily intended for the “House of Israel” — ten tribes carried away in a much earlier captivity to Assyria (721-718 BC). (Ezekiel 2:1-4) In a prophecy that includes the House of Israel and Judah, God promises protection to those who are upset with the conditions within these important nations. (Ezekiel 9:4) Clearly, we should mourn for the abominable practices taking place in our nations today.

It is our view that forcing adults to take a medication as a condition of employment is a moral outrage, and a further proof and consequence of the universal attack that has been taking place since January 2020, on the world. The author is the “god of this world,” (2 Corinthians 4:4) who is actively involved in blinding mankind. Such governmental dictates are a prelude to the chilling, compulsory “mark of the beast,” which will force worship of the governmental concord of church and state, of Revelation 13:1-18. The only way individuals will be able to participate in the commerce of the world of the future will be to accept this mark — which is a forced mandate to worship within a false religious system, which purports to be Christ-like, but in reality is the church and government of the devil! (Revelation 13:11-14)

In a sinister, macabre fashion, this governmental system will appear on the scene at some day future, pledging to help all mankind! (Revelation 13:3)

Five Major Areas of Bible Prophecy

If you are reading this article, you are interested in what the Bible has to say about the future. But knowing “where to look” as events unfold in the world can be a challenge. Following are five areas to focus on. Please remember this is a broad and very general outline. As a student of Bible Prophecy, you are, in a sense, a true journalist of future events — exploring the future before it happens! Keep these clues, or areas of world events handy, when peering into the window of the future.

The Middle East

Much of end time prophecy involves the vast swath of land east and south of the Mediterranean Sea. After all, this is the area of the world that is the cradle of civilization. The Middle East figures prominently in Bible Prophecy, especially Jerusalem and the land now inherited by the Jews, which is only a tiny sliver of real estate compared to the nations and populations surrounding the modern nation of Israel. Israel’s population of 9 million is dwarfed by almost a Billion people, mostly Moslems, of various ethnic peoples who surround the tiny nation of Israel. The modern nation of Israel is always on a war time alert — it has to be, and has been attacked repeatedly since its modern founding in 1948. Israel has thwarted attacks and planned invasions repeatedly, in 1956, 1967, 1973, each time repelling aggressive forces and nations wanting to take the most valued prize — Jerusalem. Prophecy shows us that aggression will continue against Israel until the return of Jesus, and though there are many prophecies about Jerusalem in the time of the end, perhaps the most important is found in Zechariah 12:2-4. God declares, through His righteous prophet Zechariah that the nations surrounding Israel will be intoxicated with the idea of conquering Jerusalem — BUT THEY WILL NOT SUCCEED! Just as they have not been successful in their previous conquests, noted above. God says he will defend Jerusalem (Zechariah 12:6-9) and destroy all those who come against Jerusalem. No wonder, the focus of the Middle East and events are such an important key to understanding prophecy!

Punishments in Modern Israel

Wait a minute! Didn’t we just cover the nation Israel? Sure, but that isn’t point here. The returning Jews from Europe, Russia, the United States, and from all over the globe, in the late 1940’s, who established a modern nation/state were basically from only one of the original twelve tribes, Judah. If this seems confusing, don’t worry — most Bible scholars and commentators also make this very common mistake.

You can find the names of all the tribes in the Old Testament. Two chapters stand out; Genesis 49 and Deuteronomy 33. These chapters detail all the tribes of Israel, not just the descendants of one of Jacob’s sons, Judah.

Remember Joseph — the favored son of Jacob? The one whom his father gave a “coat of many colors?” (Genesis 37:3-8) As a young man, Joseph had a prophetic gift — God gave him understanding of the future. But in his youthful zeal, he didn’t understand how to properly utilize this gift, and his brothers — whose descendants would all grow into tribes and nations — hated him and sold him into slavery.

The legendary radio broadcaster, Paul Harvey, could have made an epic “Rest of the Story” broadcast with what happened in the years afterward. Fast forward to Genesis 48, and we find Jacob, at the end of his life, 147 years old, placing the birthright blessings from Abraham, Isaac, to himself, and then the incredible national promise of wealth and prominence to only Joseph’s sons — Ephraim and Manasseh. These two boys carried from that day forward, the name of Israel. You can read of Jacob’s prophecies of all twelve sons in Genesis 49, but the greatest portion of his last will and testament was given to the young sons of Joseph. (Genesis49:22-26) Jacob’s name had been changed to Israel, meaning he was an overcomer and had the ability to deal with challenge and adversity. On his death bed Jacob passed on his attitude and nature to his grandsons. These promises didn’t materialize overnight. In fact, it took thousands of years for them to be fully realized. But before Jacob drew his last breath, he told his sons what would happen to them in the last days. For more background, please see our series on “Jacob’s Trouble.” We identify “Israel” — the direct descendants of Jacob, to the English speaking nations of the world.

These are the most prosperous nations of the world, but they are presently in hard times, with an escalation of public, national debt, overwhelming illegal immigration, loss of national leadership, political corruptness, failing educational initiatives, and the list goes on and on. As Jeremiah 30:7 shows, these nations are on a collision with prophetic destiny, and this future is not pleasant. National examination and repentance is called for, but who will heed this call? If you live in America, Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and even South Africa, your nations and peoples are being affected now. Stay alert!

The Rise of Europe

Nature abhors a vacuum, they say, and the same is true with world events. When the dominant, English speaking nations of the world fail, which nations will fill the void? If you weren’t tuned into Bible Prophecy, you could neve guess that a powerful union of 10 major nations will arise, Phoenix like, from the Europe of today.

Revelation 13:3-5 shows a “Beast” rising from the Mediterranean, empowered by the devil, and ruling over world events for the final 3 1/2 years before the return of Christ. The “Beast” has actually been on the world scene before, and history identifies it as “The Holy Roman Empire.” The seven “heads” refer to historical resurrections of the Roman Empire, which had been wounded, with the fall of Rome, but resurrected under various European rulers, from Justinian to Hitler, all of whom claimed the grandeur and might of Rome. The final, and 7th head remains (the previous heads were, Justinian, Charlemagne, Otto the Great, Charles the Great, Napoleon, Mussolini/Hitler)

Today, Europe is an important continent, but it is certainly not united, despite the efforts of European Union. But one day, it will be the most powerful force on earth. A mega super power and colossus, politically, militarily, economically — the likes of which the world has never before seen. In fact, all mankind will worship this powerful union of nations like never before in history. Definitely, keep your focus on events within Europe.

The Rise of a Powerful Church

The previous resurrections of the Holy Roman empire all featured an alliance and close knit relationship of Church and State. Popes crowned Emperors of the Roman Empire! History shows, and Bible Prophecy points to an unholy pact between Church and State that will compel worship, deceive the entire world, and enforce the dreaded “mark of the Beast” — essentially, mandated, forced worship on Sunday. (Revelation 13:11-18) Today the Church is not a prominent force in the lives of Europeans, or other nations, but it will be the dominant force in the future, declaring war on true Christians (Revelation 13:7, Daniel 7:25) by the mystical power of the “man of sin.” (2 Thessalonians 2:3-9). You will know this demonic inspired man, portraying himself as God incarnate, appears on the scene, wielding supernatural ability and power. This is a powerful clue to understanding end time events. Remember that in the Olivet prophecy, Jesus warned of the powerful attraction of deception. (Matthew 24:5, Matthew 24:11, Matthew 24:23-26) False ideology won’t be the half of the persuasive, satanic deception — it will include some of the elements of our present issues and problems — mandates, orders, directives which will be forced on the entire earth! And the issue of these pronouncements will be accompanied by demonic power and signs. Stay on your knees and pray for God’s divine protection against the evil that is coming upon all of us!

The Proclamation of the Gospel

Concurrent with all the aforementioned prophetic keys, will be the powerful warning message of God’s coming Kingdom. (Matthew 24:14) In Revelation 18 and Revelation 19, we see the destruction of the end time system which will not only dominate, but overpower all humankind. Jesus Christ will return and rescue the earth from the tyrannical grip of Satan the Devil, and his human henchmen who will rule the earth with the kind of despotism and authoritarianism that Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Napoleon and other despised dictators only dreamed of.

The “Good News” message is that the above mentioned evil, and all other perils of history will be absolved by Jesus’ imminent return. This is a message that must move those God deals with to take action, first and foremost, a message of personal repentance and change. What about you? Are you ready to not only “watch” these events, but to pray and size up your spiritual condition? Jesus told His disciples this was the only path to salvation (Luke 21:36)

These five keys of Bible Prophecy are “broad strokes.” They are an outline, a guide. Pay attention, and don’t forget that simply “knowing” really isn’t the battle. It is obedience to God and His commandments which are the real keys to understanding. (Psalm 119:33-35)
