Bible Prophecy in the 21st Century

(January 18, 2024) Davos, Switzerland, in the heart of Europe, high in the Alps, is the site of the annual meeting of business and political leaders from all over the world.  The Davos retreat was the brainchild of World Economic Forum founder, Klaus Schwab.  The conference has been in place since the founding of the organization by Schwab, in 1971.

Earlier this week, thousands of attendees descended on the small Swiss town to discuss their vision for the world with Schwab and his friends. The guest list is a “who’s who” of the world’s Billionaires, titans of Industry, heads of state, and CEOs of major corporations. The question is why?

The World Economic Forum, and Schwab believe they are best equipped to rule the world and make decisions for everyone.  In this year’s keynote address, Schwab declared:

“Geopolitically, our world is more interconnected, yet paradoxically, more divided than ever. Economically, we grapple with sluggish growth, and with inequalities and uncertainties that threaten the very fabric of our societies. Environmentally, we confront the relentless challenges of climate change, a threat to our planet’s delicate balance. And technologically, we navigate uncharted waters, where innovation offers boundless opportunities but also unprecedented risks.”

The irony is the division in the world has been caused by the policies advocated by the World Economic Forum! In the past Schwab has bragged that he has WEF advocates in leadership positions around the world. They have accepted his mantras on climate change and economics and the results are more wars, famine and disease across the globe.

Schwab of course, is infamous for his stated goals for humankind, which include a vast reduction in human population, a “world without borders,” control of all government health policies (of all nations, through the World Health Organization, thus the presence of WHO Director, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, at Davos) control of the world climate and establishment of universal standard of living where “you will own nothing and be happy.”

No kidding.

Why The Goals of the World Economic Forum will Fail.

Yes, the WEF itself is doomed to failure, eventually.  Klaus Schwab, George Soros, Bill Gates, Larry Fink and many other Billionaires do indeed shape global policy on a grand scale.  The imprint of the WEF isn’t always visible on world events, but that is how they, and others in the background like it.  They are satisfied that they can bring about their policies by having elected leaders of sovereign nations do their bidding.  But their end goal is to eliminate nation states and rule over the entire earth as “Masters of the future.”

Thus, the scale of Pandemic lockdowns by the leaders of Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Great Britain and the United States was an advancement of Schwab’s agenda and emphasized as vital in his book Covid-19 The Great Reset.

While Schwab and his cohorts emphasize the need for everyone else to eliminate the use of fossil fuels, “go green,” and not eat meat, the airport near Davos is swamped with hundreds of private jets that bring the global elite to their annual meeting.  So much for reducing “carbon footprint.” Private limousines whisk the participants off to lavish dinners and banquets, and you can bet Schwab and his buddies are not “eating ze bugs,” as he once declared was his plan for all the rest of us.

Schwab’s grander vision in his “great reset” includes making everyone on the planet poor and controlled.  Of course, any society needs leadership, and if you guessed it might be Schwab and friends, you are correct!

In his opening remarks last year, Schwab once again promoted his Great Reset nonsense, along with the virtues of worldwide collectivism to world leaders. “We are confronted with so many crises simultaneously,” Schwab said.  “What does it need to master the future? I think to have a platform where all stakeholders of society are engaged – governments, business, civil societies, the young generation…I think is the first step to meet all the challenges,” Klaus Schwab said.

Translation?  We can only “master” the future when enough of the population is compliant with our agenda.  In his book Schwab acknowledges that he and his minions must be ready for “an angry world.”  For sure, if he has his way, billions are going to be angry.  The only way that anger can be addressed is the totalitarian future that the World Economic Forum envisions and the power to force everyone to submit to their whims.

The Davos meeting is well covered by the mainstream media — but at a price. The networks are allowed to cover the event — but are charged a hefty fee for access to the meetings, thus ensuring a glowing report with little controversy.

But troubling for Schwab and his merry band of globalist henchmen in the last few years is the growing number of independent journalists not been afraid to ask tough questions.  When John Kerry was questioned about his role in promoting climate change without evidence, while flying to Davos in his private jet, he could not and would not address the hypocrisy of his position.

Such is the hubris of the global leaders of the New World Order.  Over 20 years ago, Al Gore solemnly proclaimed that New York city would be under 10 feet of water by 2010 because of the melting polar caps.  But today, there are still as many glaciers on earth, 200,000, as in 1948, the year Al Gore was born.  In an epic rant last year in Davos, Gore fumed that the oceans were “boiling because of global warming.”  It was just words, of course, no citation of fact, no data to back up his raving.  He further gushed that more should be done to limit the discussion that global warming wasn’t real.

If there is a silver lining to the spotlight on the Davos love fest among totalitarian elites in 2024, it is that many are seeing that these self-important, self-proclaimed share and stake holders in the future of the world are phony hypocrites. 

At this year’s conference, some attendees spoke out against Schwab’s strange new world order. Prominent were the comments made by newly elected Argentinian President, Javier Milei:

“Today I’m here to tell you that the Western world is in danger. And it is in danger because those who are supposed to have to defend the values of the West are co-opted by a vision of the world that inexorably leads to socialism and thereby to poverty.”

“Unfortunately, in recent decades, the main leaders of the Western world have abandoned the model of freedom for different versions of what we call collectivism. Some have been motivated by well-meaning individuals who are willing to help others, and others have been motivated by the wish to belong to a privileged caste.”

“We’re here to tell you that collectivist experiments are never the solution to the problems that afflict the citizens of the world. Rather, they are the root cause. Do believe me: no one is in better place than us, Argentines, to testify to these two points.”

President Milei specifically addressed as problems, the agenda of collectivism promoted by Schwab and his global elite for decades.

Surprisingly, a prominent banker, of Chase Bank, Jamie Dimon, spoke out against the critics of the movement of “Make America Great Again,” and of Presidential candidate, Donald Trump, in an interview conducted by CNBC. These and other remarks must be viewed as outright rebellion toward the powerful and influential World Economic Forum.

Boldly, the President of Heritage Foundation, Kevin Roberts told the Davos attendees that the next American President must reject their vision of New World Order and its destructive policies. You can read his comments here and click on the videos to hear his scathing remarks about their socialist agenda:

What The Heritage President Tells Global Elites at Davos

Thankfully many are beginning to wake up and challenge the vision of a dystopian future, with a reduction of the world’s population by 90%. It is bleak and ungodly.  Will the totalitarian aspect of the future, envisioned by Schwab and others will come true? Their ideas and agenda are written in their White papers from their organization, the World Health Organization, the United Nations and other affiliated groups.  Their call for massive digitization of identities, currencies and enforced mandates of the entire earth are hinted at within the pages of the Bible.

What is missing in what they have accomplished so far is the inclusion of religion.  Though they do worship humanism and have a transhuman vision of the future, most of the Davos group are pretty much anti-religious.  Which explains their focus on their own goals, which parallel the attitude of mankind right after the great Worldwide Flood of Genesis 6-7.

After the flood, it is apparent that it was God’s intention that there be separate nations (Genesis 10:5).  When man attempted the first “one world government,” at Babylon, God scattered mankind over the earth by confusing their language. (Genesis 11)

The Great and Future Babylon

Among many Bible prophecies, Revelation 13 describes a massive final human Kingdom upon the earth prior to the return of Jesus Christ.  While Klaus Schwab and friends truly want their New World Order, with no borders, no limitations on their power, with they and other influencers joining in a one world government, their schemes cannot succeed because they are missing the element that has joined together all the past Kingdoms referred to in the beginning of Revelation 13.  The symbolic “beast” of this chapter is the past and future Kingdoms of the Holy Roman Empire. This final human kingdom will oppose God one more time at Jesus return (Revelation 16:14-16, Revelation 19:15)

As in the distant past, man’s attempts to build a super world government, is labeled “Babylon,” (Revelation 14:8, Revelation 17:5) Babylon is symbolic of man, under the influence of Satan, ruling himself in opposition to the Creator God.

Reading through the rest of Revelation 13, we find another entity, another “beast.” (Verse 11) This beast seems to represent Jesus — because it has two horns like a lamb — but it actually represents Satan, who gives both civil and religious governments great supernatural power. (See verses 2, 11, 13)

Unlike the New World Order envisioned by the Davos attendees, this world ruling government will be glued together by a great false Church, with a counterfeit form of Christianity that will be worshipped by the entire world! (Revelation 13:8)

It is probable, indeed very likely that the final world ruling “Beast” or government will utilize the same concepts of the World Economic Forum — enforced mandates, absolute control over the world’s population, and the infamous “mark” mentioned at the end of Revelation 13, which refers to enforced religious worship, and without the mark, individuals will not be allowed to participate in work and economic commerce. (Verses 15-17) This prophecy roughly parallels the goals of the WEF, and its “Agenda 2030,” but is even more sinister than Klaus Schwab’s evil intentions.

At the end of the Davos meetings, attendees will leave for their own nations, emboldened with the destructive and dystopian dreams of a New World Order.  Whether their goals for shaping the future will be fulfilled is anyone’s guess.  But what replaces it will surely become reality. And its defeat will take the intervention of God!

Revelation 11:15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!”

My heightened interest in the probability of World War III comes from my background. My parents lived in Ukraine and were victims of the German Blitzkrieg of 1941. They were teenagers.  The Nazis took them to Germany to work in factories as slave laborers.  They lived through a foreign invasion in which tens of millions of people around them perished.  My mother, at age eight, lived through the Holodomor, which was the artificial famine imposed on Ukrainians by Stalin in which six million starved to death. My mother recalled how people who died around them were placed outside their homes for the trash wagons to pick up the bodies.  Then, in Germany, my parents endured night after night of Allied bombing as the war was coming to an end.

After the war, they married and lived in a United Nations refugee camp for four years. That’s where I was born.  They dared not return to Ukraine since the Soviets considered them enemy collaborators even though they had no choice but to work in Germany. This backdrop of my parents’ stories of war, permanent separation from family, and the Cold War with its nuclear doomsday apocalyptic implications was imprinted on me as I was growing up.  I hated hearing these stories as my parents would talk and cry with fellow former refugees reminiscing about the war.

Today, in my non-profit humanitarian work, I partner with organizations in Ukraine who are working in war conditions and bombardment from Russia.  My organization, LifeNets (www.lifenets.org) provides relief through various outlets and partners. The war blog on the site gives a running account of our work.

Because of my almost weekly contact with our friends in Ukraine, people want to know if I have any special insight. How is the war in Ukraine going to turn out?  Will Ukraine win?  Will Russia prevail? The Russians threaten to use nuclear weapons, but will they?  Could this war in Ukraine lead to World War III?

A week ago, in early January, one of our partner relief organizations in Kyiv held an online meeting about our humanitarian work for the upcoming months.  Their leader is Roman Grynyshyn, director of World Rebuilding Rural Ukraine (www.wrru.org). He and his family have been wearied by the war but explained how a Ukrainian defeat could lead to a world engulfed in fire. He said the Ukrainian armed forces can handle Russia’s attacks, but they need aid from the US and Europe to succeed.  If that aid dries up, Ukraine will not be able to withstand the Russians as they have up to now.

He painted a picture showing that if Ukraine falls, Putin will only be emboldened to proceed to take back the Baltic Republics, NATO notwithstanding.  The three republics, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, are mere morsels for Putin, having relatively small populations and a great shoreline on the Baltic Sea, which Russia wants badly. Russia, for its size, has never been blessed with gateways and coastlands.  Poland would naturally be next as Russia aims to regain its glory from the hegemony of the former U.S.S.R.

Meanwhile, in the East, China, seeing the trouble in Europe, may say that it is time to make its move on Taiwan.  Then, too, Iran, probably with nuclear weapons by then and its 90 million predominantly Shiites allied with Houthis, will vent its wrath on Israel.  And don’t forget rogue nuclear North Korea, who will join the fray. The noose is tightening as the Doomsday Clock is ticking down.

The Prospect of Nuclear Holocaust

This convergence of events that are now already in various stages of motion could spark the release of nuclear weapons.  Don’t be fooled that “tactical” nuclear weapons are “only” rated one to ten kilotons of TNT.  They are nuclear and can have a radius of 300 yards to a third of a mile.  The Hiroshima blast ending World War II was equivalent to 15 Kilotons of TNT. The tactical weapons are approaching that figure now.  Their effect would be devasting, especially if more than one is used and there are hundreds, thousands of them to use.  We all know that the world is armed to the teeth and can destroy itself many times over.

Both World War I and II both started in tense conditions as nations of one mind allied against another alliance. World War II was sparked by Germany attacking Poland. That set off an automatic declaration of war by Great Britain. And it escalated from there.  This could very well happen again. This time it will be with nuclear weapons. Scenarios of nuclear first strikes predict 50-80 million people (about twice the population of California) dying on the European continent.  Life on the entire planet will be disrupted.

It’s been almost 80 years since the dropping of the only nuclear bombs in war. The results were so appalling that no one dared to do it again, knowing full well that any such action would be suicidal.  This attack and retaliation have been the deterrent that has kept this world at “peace” since 1945.  Conventional wars, however, have claimed more lives than World War II did. but when it’s extended out over time, the world has seemed relatively peaceful.

After coming to the United States, my father commented how people in this country of plenty were totally unprepared for any kind of enemy attack and then survival afterward.

My mother’s town of Pervomaysk was destroyed.  It changed hands between the Germans and Soviets six times during the war. But the people survived for the most part.  People had gardens, root cellars, and water wells.  They eked out survival all the way to the end of the war.  In contrast, the New York City food system holds roughly four to five days of regular consumption of food stock on average.

Today, some of the world’s Billionaires, as previously reported in WNPR (The De-Population Bomb) think they can build their own refuge in secret hideaways.  Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook/Meta has bought 1000 acres of Hawaii property for a top-secret compound to survive an apocalypse.  What does he know that we don’t?

Other survivalists are buying property in New Zealand or in mountain hideaways to wait out World War III.

In the event of a total breakdown of all utilities in your town, how long could you survive? If power and water are disrupted, most everything would be, too.  No food, no heat, no Internet, no telecommunications. Darkness, hunger, and cold await. It won’t be like in WWII Ukraine, where neighbors helped one another.  It will be chaos and animalistic behavior.  If you have stored any food and others know about it, they will kill you for it.

Everyone should probably make some preparation for extra food, water and other emergency supplies for short term crisis.  But the point is — no one can survive the time mentioned in the Olivet Prophecy as “great tribulation” by physical preparation! (Matthew 24:21)

You Can Survive!

The Bible, however, is a survivalist guide for the rest of us and points out that God will come to put a stop to the madness before man destroys himself: “And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.” (Matthew 24:22) The context for this is revealed earlier in verse 3: “What will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” (emphasis added).

A very important word is “elect’s.”  There are people on this earth who have prepared spiritually for a transition to safety.  God sees them, and hopefully, you who have prepared set your spiritual affairs for not only what is coming but for life beyond.  Forever.

The end game for humanity is featured in the Word of God, with the Book of Revelation showing a world at peace beyond death.  No more tears and no more death.  (Revelation 21:4)

What are you doing to prepare?

The events of today are certainly a partial fulfillment of the signs that precede Jesus’ second coming. “Wars and rumors of wars,” disease epidemics and famine have arrived in various places around the globe and will continue to worsen!  (Matthew 24:6-7)

Eventually, though, nations won’t be gathering to wipe each other out; rather, there will be a convergence of nations opposing God’s Kingdom coming to this earth, replacing what we have now.  (Psalm 2, Revelation 19) Man is unable to make this world work and a new one needs to replace it.

Don’t be in denial. It’s easy to be in denial because the possible horror is so unimaginable.  We must wake up in the time we have left to ensure being the elect for whom God will say, “I’m going to end man’s rule and replace it with mine.”

Could an obscure reference in the Old Testament yield a clue as to the reason for the massive influx of illegal immigration into the United States in the past 3 years?

Through its history, the United States has been a harbor for the oppressed and downtrodden of the world.  But not without limits.  For many years, legal immigration was set by U.S. Congressional quota, by various Acts and Laws, based on the perceived need at the time.

In the 2020 Democrat Presidential Campaign debates though, candidate Joe Biden outlined his policy on immigration by stating “. . .make sure that there is . . .we immediately surge to the border all those people seeking asylum.  They deserve to be heard — that’s who we are, we’re a nation says you want to flee oppression, you should come.”

And have they ever!  Certainly, some have sought refuge from oppressive nations.  But since 2021, according to the U.S. Border Patrol, people from over 170 nations have surged to the border, the vast majority of them in violation of current U.S. Immigration law.

World News and Prophecy Review recently interviewed, on condition of anonymity, a highly placed Senior Border Patrol Supervisor stationed on the U.S. southern border.  Several years from retirement, the official revealed the shocking truth of illegal immigration.

Under the previous administration, the Border Patrol official confirmed that his agency followed immigration law to the letter, deporting any and all those apprehended who entered the country illegally.  In addition to enforcing immigration law, drug interdiction on the border was an additional responsibility of Border Patrol agents.

Our source revealed that the policy change enacted under the Biden administration has radically re-defined their role.  He explained that most of the Border Patrol agents have been directed to obtain their Commercial Driver’s Licenses (CDL) in the southern border states of California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.  Now one of Border Patrol agent’s roles is to drive busloads of illegal immigrants from the border to NGO sponsored agencies where they are given phones, pre-loaded debit cards and then transportation to their American destination of choice. There is no longer any stopping, vetting or deportation of any who enter our nation illegally.

The agent confirmed that illegal immigrants fall into several basic categories.

• Unaccompanied children, ages 1-9.
• Young, single men.  The official described them as “military age,” and from China, Africa and the Middle East.
• Very few women or families.

The Border Patrol official disclosed a heart-rending story of an abandoned, newborn baby, on the ground, at the Mexico/U.S. Border that dozens of illegal immigrants simply ignored while crossing into Arizona.  Thankfully, the Border Patrol was able to revive the infant, and take the baby to a nearby hospital.

Women often carry rape kits and morning after pills, as many of them are sexually assaulted many times before entering the United States.  An eight-year-old girl treated in a Southern Arizona hospital after crossing the border had the DNA of 42 men in her.

What happens to the young children, like the siblings pictured above?  Homeland Security Director Alejandro Mayorkas admitted in testimony to Congress that over 85,000 children have gone missing in the past three years.  Could rumors of child trafficking and sexual slavery be accurate?

According to our source at Border Patrol, the Mexican cartels now make more on human trafficking — escorting tens of thousands to the U.S. border — than with drug smuggling.  And the Border Patrol is so busy processing illegal aliens and transporting them from the border, they are no longer available for drug interdiction.  The upshot is that one of the leading causes of death in the United States is fentanyl overdose.

No one knows exactly how many people have entered the United States in the past three years, but the estimates vary from 15 to 25 million, or between 3-5 cities of Houston.

The implication of a massive wave of immigration is obvious.  Where will they live, how will they find jobs, what will be the economic impact on social services and welfare?

In Deuteronomy 28, Moses gave instruction to the ancient nation of Israel, before the 12 tribes entered the land of Cannan.  For obedience, the nation would reap untold blessings.  However, if they disobeyed God’s law, they would be subject to a series of curses.  One of the curses that would occur is found in Deuteronomy 28:43.

To some, ancient Israel is a historical non-sequitur, but to serious Bible students, the identity of these tribes is a key that unlocks Bible Prophecy.

Could this explain the rapid and massive flow of illegal immigration into the United States?  Only time will tell.  For certain, though, it is undeniable that an unending flow of people from around the world, some seeking a better life, others perhaps for more sinister purpose, will change the course of America’s future.

Is America, the most prosperous and blessed nation in the history of mankind, on the brink of chaotic upheaval and change?  Are the days of this Republic numbered?

Whether or not illegal immigration into the United States is a direct fulfillment of Bible Prophecy may be debatable, but the potential chaos within a nation with no border will sap the power of the greatest Empire ever known to man.

Unabated, 2024 looms as a very important year because if the United States continues its societal descent, it won’t be good news for the rest of the world.

November 14, 2023:  One of the most important chapters of the Apostle Paul’s writings is found in 2 Thessalonians.

The second chapter reveals a worldwide apostacy that will take place sometime in the future, orchestrated by an individual named “the man of sin.”

In the first chapter of this book, Paul reassured the Church at Thessalonica that God will repay those who create suffering and tribulation for God’s people.

He wrote, “which is manifest evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer; ⁶ since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you,” (1 Thessalonians 1:5-6).

1 Thessalonians 1:7 mirrors the instruction Jesus gave regarding His second coming in the Olivet prophecy.  Compare and notice the similarity of these two passages:

I Thessalonians 1:7: “and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, ⁸ in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Matthew 24:31: “And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”

Paul had explained to them in his first letter that the “dead in Christ” will rise again in the resurrection, along with those who remained alive when He returned. (1 Thessalonians 4:15-18)

Paul’s inspiration was identical to that of the Apostle John, who recorded the vision given him in Revelation 19:14, with Jesus’ return, accompanied by Angelic realm, executing justice and judgment on earth’s unrighteous leaders.

With the comforting introduction of Chapter 1 to the members of the Church at Thessalonica in place, with the assuredness of God’s intervention, Chapter 2 shows the conditions of the end of the age that will make necessary the intervention and retribution of Jesus Christ.

The Man of Sin

The topic of a charismatic religious leader of the end time who leads the world into dark deception with power, signs, lying wonders, unrighteous deception, empowered by Satan is a major theme of end time prophecy.  (Please compare Revelation 13:11-14, Matthew 24:24, Daniel 7:21-22)

Since this individual will have the full power and force of Satan behind him, the entire world will be deceived into thinking that Jesus Christ has returned already! (Revelation 12:9, 2 Thessalonians 2:4)

Paul wrote that “the man of sin” would oppose and exalt himself above God — imitating the action of Satan. (Isaiah 14:12-14) The works and action of this religious figure will be greater and more deceptive than anything ever seen on earth and will be captivating to the point of persuading the entire earth to follow the government (beast) that he is in league with. (Revelation 17:8)

The Great Falling Away

In today’s secular world, where religion has little effect on the lives of most people in the Western nations, it is hard to imagine a religious force so powerful, and so compelling as to induce the nations of the earth to give reverence and devotion to a human government.  But the point is — this government will not be led by humans alone — but by Satan!  The time Paul wrote about shows a world that worships the Devil, and his proxy national powers and human leaders! (Revelation 13:4-8)

In 2nd Thessalonians, Chapter 2, Paul reveals that the deceptive force of Satan and his evil human henchmen will be so powerful and so convincing that the entire world will be led in rebellion against the true God!

The “great falling away” is not an event that happens to a select group of individuals.  2 Thessalonians 2:3 is in harmony with the passages noted above and is descriptive of worldwide deception that engulfs the entire world!  Other translations describe “falling away,” as a “revolt,” or “rebellion.” Rebellion toward whom?

The Easy To Read translation (ERV) of this verse helps clarify: “Don’t be fooled by anything they might say. That day of the Lord will not come until the turning away from God happens. And that day will not come until the Man of Evil appears, the one who belongs to hell.”

Jesus made it clear in Matthew 24:5 that many would come in His name but would be deceivers.  In I John 4:3, John acknowledged the spirit of Antichrist was already in the world, and implied that there would be a specific individual who would fulfill that role.  In his letter to the Thessalonian Church of God, Paul told them that the day of Christ would not come until there was a wholesale rebellion toward the true God — not a revolt by a small group of people, but the entire world, led astray into apostacy!

In understanding this future time, instead of looking for two separate events — a falling away of formerly faithful people from the truth, and then the revelation of a human leader inspired by the devil, the events are connected.  In the time of the end, the great Antichrist will lead mankind even further from the true God into worldwide rebellion against God.

Standing in the way of the “man of sin” is the message of hope and freedom, encompassed in the true Gospel of the coming Kingdom of God.  This is why this the “man of sin” will orchestrate an evil war against the true Church of God!

The Kingdom of God

The message of Jesus’ return and the establishment of the Kingdom of God on earth — the true Gospel (Good News) is the message the spirit of antichrist has desperately tried to crush with a counterfeit message and false “Christianity” that was not practiced by the Church of God, established on Pentecost, 31 A.D.  Those believers, recorded in Acts 2, a small group of only 120 followers, soon became much larger, with the addition of thousands more, even during that day!

THEY believed the message of Peter about Christ’s future Kingdom, on this earth, leading up to the time of the 1,000-year reign of Christ, when salvation will be freely offered; “And it shall come to pass That whosever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved.’ (Acts 2:21)

The War Against God’s Church

Daniel 7:25, Revelation 12:13-17, Revelation 13:7-8 all indicate that the anger and hatred of God by Satan will be expressed toward the “saints,” or those who led by God, His law and His spirit.  His Church will be under attack.  Why? Because the Church has been entrusted with the Gospel message of hope — the hope of God’s Kingdom, which will replace man’s governments.

But thankfully, Satan’s purpose to destroy God’s people in the time of the end will not be successful in suppressing the message of the Kingdom of God!  In His discussion on the Mount of Olives with the disciples, Jesus told them, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations, and then the end will come.” (Matthew 24:14)

The rise of the Antichrist, the “man of sin” of Thessalonians is not yet upon us.  When he does come to power, his message will be blasphemous and contemptuous toward God and His people.

Violence flarin’, bullets loadin’
You’re old enough to kill but not for votin’
You don’t believe in war, but what’s that gun you’re totin’
And even the Jordan river has bodies floatin’
But you tell me over and over and over again my friend
Ah, you don’t believe we’re on the eve of destruction”

The classic protest song of the 1960’s, popularized by Barry McGuire could easily describe the condition of the world today.

“The Eve of Destruction” was written at a time when the world was more unstable than at any time in human history.  The United States began to escalate the war in Viet Nam, there were riots in the summer of 1965 in many American cities, racial tensions were at an all-time high, and the nation was still reeling from the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, less than two years earlier.

The topic of “Mutually Assured Destruction” (MAD) became a part of the national defense strategy of the two largest nuclear powers of the day — the Soviet Union and the United States.  The combined nuclear arsenals then had the capability to destroy all life many times over in the middle of the 20th Century.  The “Doomsday” clocked clicked to 12 minutes to midnight, signifying the close proximity to nuclear holocaust.  But today, the predictor of devastation has moved to only 1 and a half minutes to midnight!

With tensions in the Middle East poised to bring the major world powers of the United States, Russia and China to the conflict, suddenly, the “eve of destruction” is a real possibility.

Israeli Response

Three weeks after the Hamas terrorist attacks in Southern Israel, military experts question how the most heavily defended nation in the world, with the most advanced security apparatus could have been surprised by a rag tag group of terrorists?  How was the most prepared military in the world unable to respond to terrorist attacks for 7 hours?  How could Hamas terrorists go on a wanton killing spree, breaking through Israel’s defense corridor by breaching fences with hang gliders and pickup trucks?  Something doesn’t add up.

But now Israel’s response in the Gaza strip has resulted in the deaths of more than 8 thousand Palestinians, many of them civilian, while Israeli leadership earlier decried the senseless killing of Israeli citizens!

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, on October 29, invoked the “Amalek theory” quoting the instruction of the prophet Samuel to King Saul in I Samuel 15:3 “Now go and attack Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them. But kill both man and woman, infant and nursing child, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’ ”

Does this mean Israel is determined to exterminate the 2 million Palestinians living in Gaza?  And what will be the reaction of the Islamic world to such rhetoric?  Whatever the case, the remarks by the Prime Minister of Israel haven’t been received well in most of the world.

President Erdogan, of Turkey, with largest military in the region, and also a nuclear power, has hinted at intervention in Gaza.

Middle East in Focus

Escalation of trouble in the Middle East is one of five areas of Bible Prophecy serious Bible students follow.  Other prophetic keys are punishments in the nations of the descendants of the ancient patriarch Jacob — the English-speaking nations of the world, the rise of a powerful union of nations in Europe, the rise of a powerful church centered in Europe, and finally, the proclamation of the Gospel, or “Good News” of the return of Jesus Christ, and the establishment of God’s Kingdom.

At the “time of the end,” (Daniel 8:17, Daniel 11:35, Daniel 12:4,9) and before the triumphant return of Jesus Christ, these are the five “hot spots” to observe and be aware of.

For now, the spotlight is on Israel, surrounded by mostly hostile nations.

America / Israel Alliance

Putting aside the tactics of the Israeli response, in the past, Israel has been more than able to defend itself.  They haven’t needed U.S. funding or assistance in repelling its enemies.  So why is the U.S. Congress approving military aid for Israel?  Why is the U.S. giving troop support, as well as placing two Aircraft carrier groups in the Mediterranean?

One hint may be found in the book of Hosea.  Hosea was a prophet from the Northern Kingdom, Samaria, or Israel, (consisting of 10 tribes who separated from the unified Kingdom after the death of Solomon). but he also prophesied about “Judah.”

In Bible prophecy, there is a clear separation between Israel, (northern 10 tribes) and Judah.  In fact, Hosea makes it plain that God’s judgment will be rendered to both Judah and Israel at the same time, an event which never happened in history, as the two kingdoms went into captivity 120 years apart.  Note Hosea 5:5 “The pride of Israel testifies to his face; Therefore Israel and Ephraim stumble in their iniquity; Judah also stumbles with them.”

This verse indicts the descendants of Israel and Judah in the modern age showing both nations failing at the same time.  Both nations are also mentioned in Hosea 8:14:

“For Israel has forgotten his Maker, And has built temples; Judah also has multiplied fortified cities; But I will send fire upon his cities, And it shall devour his palaces.”

It is very clear that the world is now in the formative stages of aligning against both the United States and Israel.  Will their combined efforts in defeating Hamas and Hezbollah, both Iranian proxies, be the catalyst for even greater hatred and retribution against both nations?  Only time will tell.

Truly, though, we are living in very serious times, and perhaps on the very “Eve of Destruction.”

October 8, 2023: The shocking attack by Hamas terrorists in Southern Israel caught the Israeli people by surprise as rockets were launched in the early morning hours of Saturday, October 7, almost 50 years to the date of the surprise attack by Egyptian and Syrian forces in the 1973 “Yom Kippur” war.

Hamas terrorists apparently entered southern Israel through breaches in a wall that was only recently completed that runs the entire border of southern Israel, and also by boat to Israeli towns. The wall was also apparently breached by paragliders, flying over the wall.

Current reports indicate more than 700 Israeli deaths, and over 100 hostages taken by the Hamas militants, possibly including some American citizens, as Israel has declared war against the militant forces.

The nation of Iran, the historic sponsor of Hamas, has already taken credit for planning the attack.

Some international experts wonder how complicit the United States may be in this new war, as the Biden administration, through the State Department, and Anthony Blinken, U.S. Secretary of State, recently released $6 Billion in frozen Iranian assets.

Others question how the nation of Israel, with some of the most sophisticated security apparatus in the world was taken by surprise by the attack.

What if the attack was not a total surprise to either the Israeli high command, or the United States administration?  Combined, they have their fingers on the pulse of virtually all things going on in the Middle East so the claim we read in the mainstream media that the attack was a “intelligence failure,” seems to be a stretch.

Why would Israeli and American leaders allow an attack on Israeli soil, knowing in advance that an attack was being planned by Iran?  Several reasons.

First, war always helps solidify the position of the administration in power and the government of Benjamin Netanyahu is only held together by a coalition of various parties.  In times of war, a nation unites under the current leadership, as happened in the United States in the aftermath of the events of September 11, 2001.

Second, the world is awash in debt issued by the Central banks around the world, and the only way the current debt-based system can continue is to continue to inject more liquidity into the financial markets.  And war is the easiest way to borrow from the future, create more fiat money to pay for more and more wars.  Eventually the whole system will collapse like a house of cards, and the Federal Reserve, Bank of England and other Central banks around the world are very likely among the most powerful agencies in the world, and perhaps the causative agents for false flag events such as the Hamas attack.

Is this why Jesus said one of the signs of His coming would include “wars and rumors of wars?” (Matthew 24:6).

Conservative political pundit Jack Posobiec posted the following after the attack, on social media:

“[One] month ago Trump predicted the $6 Billion that Biden gave Iran would be used for terror attacks across the Middle East and specifically kidnapping,” “This is exactly what we are seeing in Israel this morning.”

Biden released the $6 billion to Iran in exchange for the regime releasing five American prisoners it had detained for years.

Trump’s post, which was published on September 11, said, “Can you believe that Crooked Joe Biden is giving $6 Billion to the terrorist regime in Iran? That money [will] be used for terrorism all over the Middle East, and, indeed, the World. This incompetent FOOL is absolutely destroying America. He had the audacity to announce this terrible deal today, September 11th.”

“To pay for hostages will lead to kidnapping, ransom, and blackmail against Americans across the globe,” Trump added. “I freed many dozens of our people from various unfriendly countries and never paid a dime!”

The killed or kidnapped may have become collateral damage to the overall goal of deliberate intention to go to war, and war also detracts from all the other problems facing the United States — a failing economy on the verge of a great depression, tens of millions of illegal immigrants over the past 3 years, many of them military age men.

Does the Bible indicate that the horrific events we are watching in real time are deliberate on the part of leaders?  Indeed, it does!

Isaiah 9:16 For the leaders of this people cause them to err, And those who are led by them are destroyed.  Note also another thematic problem of the time of the end — the loss of leaders who actually have the best interests of the people they are supposed to care for:

“For behold, the Lord, the Lord of hosts, Takes away from Jerusalem and from Judah
The^[ stock and the store, The whole supply of bread and the whole supply of water; ² The mighty man and the man of war, The judge and the prophet, And the diviner and the elder;
³ The captain of fifty and the honorable man,
The counselor and the skillful artisan, And the expert enchanter.” (Isaiah 3:1-3)

Another MAJOR theme of the time of the end is found in 2 Timothy 3:13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

Evil men, in deliberate attempt to gain power and control over the populations of the world are the main reasons for “perilous times” in the “last days.” (2 Timothy 3:1)

In the United States, Israel as well as the rest of the English-speaking nations of the world, are under attack, often from within, by their own evil leaders — nations who once championed the individual rights of their citizens.  The rule of law has been replaced by mandates, dictates and the lust for control and power.

Wars and rumors of wars are only a prelude to “Great tribulation” that will envelop the entire world.  Jesus cautioned His disciples to “Watch therefore, and pray always that you will be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:36)

In the meantime, these events will likely rock the financial markets around the world tomorrow, October 9, although the U.S. Bond markets will be closed in honor of Columbus Day in the United States.  The price of crude oil could go higher — much higher, along with precious metals.  Stock futures are set to open lower but could recover after an initial drop — or plummet hard and fast depending on the overnight events in the Middle as risk in the financial markets is extremely high.  According to the Mannarino Market Risk Indicator (MMRI) a rating over 300, a formula derived from the strength of the U.S. Dollar, the US 10-year bond, the stock market is at precarious levels, and war will increase that risk.

September 11, 2023: Until the Covid Pandemic, the most shocking historical development of the 21st Century was the events of 9/11/2001.

Neither can be clearly traced in a specific fashion to the fulfillment of Bible Prophecy.

Doesn’t that seem odd?  Both resulted in wholesale change in society, from the establishment of a vast security apparatus at American Airports, to lockstep, universal health care mandates that have been adopted throughout much of the world, during the 3-year Covid-19 health crisis.

On the 22nd anniversary of 9/11, let’s examine how the world has changed.

Outside the shocking loss of life, the destruction of prime New York City real estate, and the attack of the Pentagon, the most lasting effect was the 20-year war in Iraq and Afghanistan.  The loss of life and trillions of dollars spent by the Military Industrial Complex is incalculable.  After withdrawing from Afghanistan last spring, can the argument be made that the world is safer after American intervention in the Middle East?

After all, Billions of dollars of sophisticated military hardware were left behind, arming the group of Afghans the United States viewed as mortal enemies — the Taliban.  The supposed objective of “nation building,” or “democratic reform” certainly should be viewed as one of colossal failure.

The most optimistic opinion regarding world history since 9/11 has been the ability of the United States to project military power for a prolonged period of time.  But in so doing, no victory was secured.

But what if victory wasn’t the objective?

Could the truth be that the United States was warned by President Dwight Eisenhower of specific threats from within?  In his last address to the nation, as President Eisenhower warned of two possible, emerging areas; the defense industry, and technological research conducted by the federal government through private Universities.  Was his speech prophetic?  You be the judge.  You can read the entire text here: President Eisenhower’s Farewell Address

The official narrative of the 9/11 attack is well known, but the response of the United States, retrospectively, was odd.  If 19 Saudi nationals were responsible for 9/11, led by another Saudi national, Osama Bin Laden, why was Saudi Arabia never held accountable?  Why did the United States engage Iraq in war when that nation had nothing to do with the attacks?  For sure, the pretext for going to war against Iraq was that they possessed “weapons of mass destruction,” though this theory was later found to be in error.

Whatever the reason for 9/11, it is inescapable that it was planned and executed in exquisite detail.  If 20 men were responsible for the destruction of 20% of the office space in lower Manhattan, and the destruction of part of the world’s most heavily defended military building, their execution was virtually flawless.  It has to be considered one the greatest military operations of all time, considering the size of the force, and that they were armed only with boxcutters!

If less than 2 dozen terrorists were able to paralyze a nation of 320 million people with razor blades, how vulnerable is our nation?

In the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, we are certainly much less free as a society.  The threat of terrorism became the instigation for a new government department, Homeland Security and the Transportation Security Administration.  A vast network was brought into existence that monitors the communication of all Americans, with vast data bases that record electronic and telephonic transmissions.

What would President Eisenhower think of such developments of this modern age?  In his January 17, 1961, speech, he said: “But each proposal must be weighed in light of a broader consideration; the need to maintain balance in and among national programs – balance between the private and the public economy, balance between the cost
and hoped for advantages – balance between the clearly necessary and the comfortably desirable; balance between our essential requirements as a nation and the duties imposed by the nation upon the individual; balance between the actions of the moment and the national welfare of the future. Good judgment seeks balance and progress; lack of it eventually finds imbalance and frustration.”

Perhaps President Eisenhower would say we have lost the balance between the rights of the individual citizen while the power of the Federal Government has expanded (?)

For certain, the world is much different now, than in 1961.  In receiving a vision of the distant future, the prophet Jeremiah saw the end result of the disobedience of the descendants of Abraham, Issac and Jacob.  He saw them in a future captivity and returning from that captivity at the time of Jesus’ return, in the early part of chapter 30 of Jeremiah.

He also foretold the time of Jacob’s descendants, in great difficulty; “Alas! For that day is great, So that none is like it; And it is the time of Jacob’s trouble, But he shall be saved out of it.” (Jeremiah 30:7)

Are we on the precipice of that prophesied time of trouble?  Though the United States has thoroughly dominated the discussion when it comes to the extension of military and financial power, with the dollar in crisis as the world’s reserve currency, our financial house in a shambles with excessive national debt, with a wide-open border that is open for illegal immigration, and with human smuggling and trafficking as the result — can America remain a Superpower?  Or has the sun already set on American dominance?

All Empires of man eventually fail.  American dominance in the world has lasted for roughly 100 years, arguably, since the end of World War 1.

Over 2,700 years ago, the prophet Micah predicted that Jacob’s descendants would lose their power shortly after domination of their enemies; “And it shall be in that day,” says the Lord, “That I will cut off your horses from your midst And destroy your chariots. ¹¹ I will cut off the cities of your land And throw down all your strongholds.” (Micah 5:10)

Whatever the cause or the culprits of 9/11/2001, these events changed the course of the history of the United States.

Editor’s Note: This article is a revision or our annual Independence Day essay, from 2022)

(July 2, 2023) A few years ago, Mike, a friend from Alabama called me on July 2nd to wish me a “Happy Independence Day,” citing the 2nd of July as the “Declaration of Independence.” Technically Mike was correct, the Declaration was passed, officially, by the Continental Congress on July 2, 1776. Still, Mike has had difficulty getting his friends to attend his “2nd of July Barbeque!”

Signer of the Declaration of Independence, and third President of the United States, John Adams, pronounced;” July 2 will be celebrated for generations to come.” Although the Declaration was approved on the 2nd, the formal document had to be put into official form, taken to the printers, and signed, all which took another 2 days to complete. Adams, representing the Federalist party favored the July 2nd date and Thomas Jefferson, of the Republican party, the July 4. Ironically, both ex-Presidents died the same day – July 4, 1826.

July 4 (sorry Mike, and to John Adams) is the most patriotic National Holiday in the United States, with parades, cook outs, celebrations among towns, cities, and families across the country. It may be the one holiday in America in which virtually everyone remembers the history: the founding of a nation. In 1776, America stood against the tyranny of the British crown.

On the last day of the Constitutional Convention of September,1787, Elizabeth Willing Powell of Philadelphia asked Benjamin Franklin, “Well Docter, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?”  Franklin replied, “A republic — if you can keep it.”

What is the state of the Republic, in July 2022?

The Rapid Decline of the United States

There is no doubt the Republic of the United States of America is teetering on the brink of collapse. Each day brings a new crisis, a newly revealed political corruption, a vast inequity in justice with the balances heavily weighted in favor of those who oppose the freedoms that defined the founding of America.  The United States would be the first government in the history of the world that favored and protected individual rights and freedoms.  The first Constitution that reflected the moral, codified Law of Moses, given to the Nation of Israel at Mt. Sinai.  The most cherished of those rights and freedoms, codified in the First Amendment of the Constitution is the freedom of speech.

New World Order

A “New World Order” is not a myth. It is the vision of many political and business leaders around the world, with many adherents from the World Economic Forum, World Health Organization, many prominent Billionaires, as well as many other societies and forums.

Instead of independence and freedom enjoyed as result of American rejection of the British crown, NOW adherents are devoted to control and dictate by eliminating the freedoms that the signers of the Declaration of Independence vowed their lives, honor, and fortunes to establish.

Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum declared the end of individual ownership, enunciating the WEF Agenda 2030 objective in a speech in 2016, “You will own nothing and be happy about it.” As Anthony P. Mueller, a professor of economics, warns, “The main thrust of the forum is global control. Free markets and individual choice do not stand as the top values, but state interventionism and collectivism. Individual liberty and private property are to disappear from this planet by 2030.”

Under the scheme of the World Economic Forum, individual rights and freedoms must be subjugated to the needs of the state, and for this vision to be complete, “the U.S. won’t be the world’s leading superpower.”

Schwab’s vision seems to be coming to fruition.

The world economy, and markets in the United States and Europe, saddled by a mountain of debt caused by the creation of dollars, euros, and other leading currencies through quantitative easing (creation of fiat money by central banks), are on the verge of collapsing.

For the past three hundred years, the most powerful and influential nations have been the British Empire and the United States of America. These two nations were the first of the modern world to outlaw slavery and champion individual liberty through a dedication to law. These two nations have also been most responsible for printing and disseminating the Holy Bible throughout the world.

Is it coincidence that the English-speaking peoples of the world have had the greatest systems of constitutional law, the envy of mankind, and up to now have dominated the world scene? Not only have these nations been protectors of law and freedom for their own people, but they have also been instrumental in liberating the entire world from the grip of tyranny throughout the 20th century.

The Declaration of Independence in 1776 represents the momentous time of history in which man’s freedoms were codified by a civil government, which had its foundation in the Laws of the Bible!

America’s Future?

The signers of the Declaration of Independence promised to “mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our Sacred Honor,” and many of them and their fellow patriots did in fact sacrifice their lives and fortunes in service to our country.

Where does America go from here?

What does Bible Prophecy have to say about the role of America in the present world?

The prophet Micah shows a remnant people – the descendants of Jacob – to be prominent among all nations on earth. (Micah 5:7-9) These prophecies were never fulfilled in Micah’s day, in the 8th century before Christ.

Is the fulfillment of this prophecy in the last few hundred years found in the modern age in the nations of the United States and British Commonwealth? As gracious and inspiring as the sacrifice of America’s founding fathers and early citizens, in the late 18th century, no one could have predicted the rise and dominance of the English-speaking nations over 240 years ago.

Micah also foretold of the sudden demise of the “remnant of Jacob” as well, as the military, economic and political power is eroded. (Micah 5:10-14)

“And it shall be in that day,” says the Lord, “That I will cut off your horses from your midst And destroy your chariots. 11 I will cut off the cities of your land And throw down all your strongholds. 12 I will cut off sorceries from your hand, And you shall have no soothsayers. 13 Your carved images I will also cut off, And your sacred pillars from your midst; You shall no more worship the work of your hands; 14 I will pluck your wooden images from your midst; Thus I will destroy your cities.”

While we do not know when these things will happen, Micah and other prophecies of “Jacob’s trouble,” indicate a sudden and dramatic demise of American power. (Jeremiah 30:7)

With many economists outlining an impending recession, a wide-open southern border and the influx of millions of illegal aliens in the past 2 years, an ongoing proxy war with Russia in Ukraine, energy prices skyrocketing, how far is the United States from falling from its perch as leader of the free world?

The Warning of the Watchman

A clear principle in the inspired writings of prophecy is that God does nothing without giving appropriate warning: Amos 3:7 “Surely the Lord God does nothing Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.”

The prophecies of Amos and other Prophets is clear – if we do not repent of our national sin, we will be punished as a nation.

Another important prophetic principle to remember is that God will not bring calamity upon His people without a strong warning message. Ezekiel 33 explains that man must be informed of his sin before God will bring punishment, especially on a national scale.

Coupled with the pronouncement of Jesus, on the Mount of Olives, the message of God’s coming kingdom, with the reign of Christ to replace the unjust rule of man, you can be sure that the entire world will be warned during the “times of the end.” (Matthew 24:14)

Few churches are giving a warning message to the nation. Many are ignoring the dire calamities expressed in the hundreds of prophecies given to the descendants of the people God called out of Egypt – Twelve tribes (not one, Judah) of Israel.

What Can You Do?

If you are privileged to live in any of the English-speaking nations of the world – be thankful! Be aware of what is happening right now. Study your Bible. Prepare yourself spiritually because we are truly living in dangerous times.  Please forward this article to your concerned family and friends.  And finally, pray that our leaders in all institutions will wake up and embrace the values of our nation’s origin, that our people would truly understand that God is what made America great!

Many students of prophecy and national origins have successfully identified the peoples of northwest Europe with the nations receiving the blessings bestowed by Jacob on his sons in Genesis 49. For instance, Joseph was promised the bulk of the birthright, to be a colonising people and to be largely successful in battle (Genesis 49:22-26).

The two sons of Joseph, Ephraim and Manasseh, received special blessings in Genesis 48:17-20.

“When Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand on the head of Ephraim, it displeased him, and he took his father’s hand to move it from Ephraim’s head to Manasseh’s head.

And Joseph said to his father, “Not this way, my father; since this one is the firstborn, put your right hand on his head.”

But his father refused and said, “I know, my son, I know. He also shall become a people, and he also shall be great. Nevertheless, his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his offspring shall become a multitude of nations.”

So he blessed them that day, saying, “By you Israel will pronounce blessings, saying, ‘God make you as Ephraim and as Manasseh.’” Thus he put Ephraim before Manasseh.” (Gen 48:17-20)

Of special interest in this context is the promise that Ephraim would be a ‘company of nations’ which we would term a ‘commonwealth’ today. This fits perfectly the English peoples as they set up colonies in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and parts of South Africa (accompanied by Scots, Welsh and Irish representing other tribes). And other non-Israelitish nations which were joined to the imperial realm to form the British Empire.

In addition, the mighty British Empire (basically run by the Scots but the majority of troops and settlers were English) arose and expanded, reaching its peak after World War One. After World War Two the Empire began to disintegrate with only the inner Anglo-Celt core nations (Australia, New Zealand and Canada) remaining as part of the British sphere (plus a few island states).

It seems that the day will come that these core nations may reject the Mother nation (Britain) and become republics, continuing their decline in wealth, power, influence and military might.

Their purpose was originally to be a light of God’s way to the Gentiles and to uplift them. This was partially accomplished by missionaries, the Bible Society, the rule of law, education, hospital system, eschewing of totalitarianism as promoted under the British Empire.

Australia’s Lost Mission

But today these nations have lost their way. The grinding away at Britishness and its civilising mission was slowly but cunningly happening in the educational institutions for years but exploded on the world scene 1967-69 with the student uprisings and subsequent move toward neo-Marxism, political correctness and the undermining of Western institutions. Soon pornography was legalised, as was prostitution, capital punishment was banned, divorce and remarriage liberalised, homosexuality permitted, abortion legalised, and signing over more and more controls to internationalist organisations.

These and other sins together with compromising the birthright and world leadership granted to them by God Almighty, has led to the ‘white anting’ of the nation which has accelerated ever since.

The past ten years has seen the aggressive acceleration of anti-family and anti-parent policies; legalisation of gay marriage and their being permitted to adopt children; extending abortion; legalisation of euthanasia; and moves to remove the last constitutional links with Britain plus many other evils such as open borders and promotion of a world state.

The Covid Crisis – another step toward Harsh Government

To top it all off, the Australian federal and state governments are getting into enormous debt to fund social engineering programs to enforce the Woke agenda and supposed ‘green’ energy. The federal government debt alone will reach $1.3 trillion soon – and that for a country of just 26 million people! When we factor in state government debt with council, corporate and private, the outlook is gloomy.

To cap off this relentless slide, the government reaction to Covid which included deceit and disgraceful overreach by the police, shocking civil libertarians on both the left and right, has added to the divisions within these countries to widen leaving them without national unity and a sense of purpose.

Some have labelled that period a ‘trial neo-Marxist state.’ In fact, the nations of Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and Britain were in virtual lockstep with these unnecessary actions during Covid. All major political parties were on side with these ‘temporary’ dictatorships and the shutting down of alternative and legitimate views and solutions. The consequences have been emboldened governments and their allies in the media, to have virtual dictatorships; horrendous mental health issues resulted (especially for children); and the impact of the vaccines on the health of many – all these are key signals of the decline of Ephraim and the gradual withdrawal of our blessings by Almighty God.

Yet, the previous Australian Prime Minister stated to the media in May 2022 that most deaths recorded as due to Covid were in fact with it rather than from it. Something alternative experts were warning about for two years. So, what were the terrible lockdowns all about? Why were police units set up to spy on private citizens? And why the virtual destruction of the economy and the subsequent acceleration of federal and state debts? It was all rather sinister.

Any observer who was knowledgeable of the birthright blessings to Ephraim would be able to clearly see that all these are portends of decline and fall.

Where to now Australia?

Australia is one of the most blessed and freest on earth. Yet it is slowly being led down the road toward a neo-Marxist, Globalist and Woke destination. The ending will not be good because it will not be truly democratic, and it will be ungodly. The combination of these two critical elements to any nation, will result in national calamity.

At least the Australia we knew until the rise of leaders such as Gough Whitlam, Paul Keating and now Anthony Albanese was one that was nominally Christian – that is it had values and morals broadly based on God’s Word.

God warns His people Ephraim:

“Beware lest you say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand have gotten me this wealth.’

You shall remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

And if you forget the LORD your God and go after other gods and serve them and worship them, I solemnly warn you today that you shall surely perish.

Like the nations that the LORD makes to perish before you, so shall you perish, because you would not obey the voice of the LORD your God.” (Deuteronomy 8:17-20)

It behoves us to continue to trumpet a warning message to the peoples of Ephraim and all of Israel, lest we share their fate:

“But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, so that the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any one of them, that person is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.” (Ezekiel 33:6)
